Beautiful place with space to rest and enjoy the garden. Very clean bathrooms and friendly, helpful staff. The kindalini yoga lessons are fantastic. My room opened onto the garden and had a comfortable bed with writing desk and chair. I would definitely stay here again and, in fact, would quite like to live here! Nice and central.

Very clean, nice people, yoga studio. If you are looking for a chill yet friendly atmosphere, this is it. The yoga studio which is open for use is a great bonus as well.

I stayed here for about a month in 2009 and had a fantastic time. The hostel has a great vibe to it and is very cheap considering that breakfast is included as well.Fabian, Bely and Laura were also fantastic hosts who made me feel at home for the duration of my stay. I will definately stay here again next time... More

I loved this place so much that I ended up staying 2 weeks instead of 3 days. The atmosphere is tranquil, the garden's small but really nice, the staff is super friendly and helpfull. The room has just enough to have a quiet night, nothing too fancy but still comfortable. The shared bathrooms are bigger that what I was used... More

Posada Ganesha is a wonderful little hostel in the center of San Cristobal. Peaceful and friendly atmosphere with a beautiful courtyard, kitchen and a little rec room type area. Also, daily yoga and meditation classes! Fabian, the owner, is a wonderful and gracious (and english speaking) host. Five stars!!

My husband & I stayed there a few days ago and only stayed for one day. We have had experiences with bed bugs and once we investigated the bed... there were signs of them living there as well so we ended up changing rooms ( not interested in meeting with bedbugs again!). The rooms were small & smelt of mold... More

This place was clean and charming, with a laid back vibe. One of the managers/owners wants to start a business where he charges for a pub crawl in the town (in addition to drinks) which is maybe a bit silly, but what can you do. Maybe it would work. He's from the States and was a bit too cool for... More

This lovely little hostel with an Indian feel, is a lovely place to stay for a night or 2. The beds are a little hard but it is good value for money. Unfortunately there are only 2 bathrooms and so there is a bit of a line for them in the morning but we got up early and so this... More

This is probably the best place to stay in San Cristobal. It's simple and clean, with a great vibe (Ganesha is the Hindu god that eliminates obstacles), people that hang around there are cool and the staff amazing! Fabian, the owner, is a young Mexican entrepreneur that loves taking care of his guests. I have been staying here for more... More

This is a slightly better than average hostel. It's totally unfair to compare it to a hotel which costs 35.00 a night.... While it might only seem like a "few dollars" to some people, those of us who travel for long periods of time appreciate the difference between ten dollars a night ( which is what the dorm here costs)...
