Hotel Del Sol is a small, budget property not far from Puerto Juarez ferry terminal. As such it is removed from the boisterous Hotel Zone requiring a taxi ride to get to town. (Ask desk to call you a Radio Taxi for best services). It is well maintained, quiet, clean. Employees are kind & helpful. Air condition was cold, Wifi... More

Have you ever thought in a easy and cheap Cancún? Well it exists and it’s exactly here at “Hotel del Sol”. Let’s be honest it’s not a five star hotel, but who needs so many gold stars when you are ready to see real ones in Cancun and Isla Mujeres. With a privileged location and a cheap zone forgotten from... More

This hotel is in a bit of a weird spot in Cancun and you definitely won't want to use it if you're looking to be centrally-located in a hip area or expecting a resort atmosphere. However, it worked for us as a cheap option before a red-eye flight after spending most of a week down in Riviera Maya. The proximity... More

We spent one night at the hotel which is literally across the street from ferry to Isla Mujeres. It's a basic room with a working AC, hot water and a bed which was reasonably priced. As long as you don't expect more that that - you should not be dissipated. Note that there is another Ferry terminal further down street... More

Hotel Del Sol is located in Cancun but not in the downtown (centro) area, which is what my friend and I appreciated. It is located in Puerto Juarez, right across from the ferry which takes people to Isla de la Mujeres. Because it is in a port, a lot of the restaurants in the area almost exclusively contain sea food.... More

It is a perfect place to stay if you need to go to Isla Mujeres, you just have to cross the road to reach the ferry terminal. If you want to live the night of Cancún, you are way out of it (but still you are a short taxi ride away). For the rest it is a simple hotel, clean,... More

This is not a romantic hotel for honeymooners. My boyfriend and I booked one night here before taking a ferry to La Isla. For this, the hotel served a perfect purpose. The ferry across the street doesn't work, but there is one that is a 4 block walk from the hotel that works. Friendly staff, cheap and simple breakfast, convenience... More

You can't be closer to the ferry to Isla Mujeres. It was noisy but for that price, I do not complain. Room was small but clean, with air conditioning, staff friendly and breakfast basic (omelet) but good. Ideal for short stay.

Stayed based on positive reviews as came into Cancun late and we're taking ferry in the morning to Isla Mujeres. Beware, it is NOT across from the new ferries. That is several blocks down the road. Not a bad walk if you have light luggage. Bath and floors were clean, bedspread was gross and no other blanket so forced to... More

The hotel is across the street from the Isle Mujeres Ferry which is perfect. We stayed just one night, which suited our needs. It was clean and cool and had internet and a printer in the lobby as well as wi-fi in the rooms. However, the beds were the worst. If you like luxury camping or hard beds, this is... More
