This hotel was very cheap and that is the only reason it doesn't get 1 star. The rooms were old and dated. The AC unit in our first room had no control so could only be on max or off meaning it sounded like an aircraft taking off. It got so bad I had to request to move rooms at... More

I would never go back here and I would not recommend it to anyone. The "lobby" and hallways are roofed but NOT air conditioned which makes the heat unbearable in all the common spaces. The rooms and the restaurants are a bit run down (you can tell it was built a while back) and it's not in the nicest/safest area in... I booked this hotel through Groupon for a reasonable price. The reason being, we just needed a place to stay for our early morning flight back home. Groupon has never failed me before. The reviews of this place are absolutely deceiving. The hotel itself looks interesting w/ it's Mayan theme..BUT...The rooms are all FILLED w/ actively growing MOLD. I have... More

This hotel has a lot of character! We really enjoyed our stay. This is not a luxury hotel, but we spent most of our time playing in the water and exploring the town, so we didn't even miss not having a fancy tv, etc. We are glad we saved our money and found accommodations outside the hotel zone. The room... More

First let me begin by saying I am a business traveler. I am not looking for luxury nor am I looking for anything flashy. My standards are quite relaxed and as long as I have a decent place to lay my head I am very happy. I have stayed in many hotels in Cancun overnight for business and this is... More

On the whole I would recommend this hotel for a night or two but avoid Saturdays when there are often noisy and conflicting musical events including dreadful Karaoke until 3 or 4 in the morning! Earplugs and eye mask needed (curtains thin) Hotel well placed in heart of old town 5 minutes from the airport bus and next to the... More

First of all, this hotel should not have stars at all. The rooms are poorly equiped, the AC is from '83 i guess, the stuff sucks completely, the breakfast is a bad joke. Inside the hotel there are 2 clubs, very very noisy in the weekend. The hotel is located in a very dangerous area, take care of your belongings.

This place is old and in need of fixing up, yes. But it's in downtown Cancun, Mexico, has a ton of personality. Lena kept our room spotless with Towels folded into swans and rabbits, and on our last night we arrived to find a towel heart. yes the shower was a dribbler but we had hot water. It's Mexico, isn't... More

after reading many reviews for this place I admit most bad things are true. Rooms are very tired, windows with broken handles, cannot close, no noise isolation at all and noise was quite loud from hotel karaoke itself and other places around. Air conditioner was ok in my room, but other rooms below had very old window box type units,... More
