Emporio Cancun is celebrated for its robust amenities, including diverse dining choices, pristine pools, and attentive beach services, although there are mentions of room and service inconsistencies. Despite the commendation for its cleanliness and well-kept facilities, some guests have experienced noise disturbances and maintenance issues in rooms. The hotel's location garners applause for its convenience and picturesque beach setting, and while the vibrant atmosphere and commendable staff service are noted, opinions on value and children's activities are mixed.

The hotel staff did an excellent job with service. Especially Perla at the pool bar and Carlos at the beach bar.

The resturants food was very good. Especially the Italian restaurant.

Entertainment was good. The Selena tribute and Karoke were better nights

Stayed all inclusive for 10 nights. The staff are amazing and cannot do enough. They work so hard.
The beds are very comfy, the showers are powerful and the rooms have air con, free safes, hair driers, coffee machines, irons and bottled water daily. Pool towels also supplied.
There are three restaurants on site, one buffet and two seated. Fasano did amazing food, including steaks, pizza and loads of lovely options. Bacoli is Italian. You can also get food in the sports bar or pool bar.
The adults only pool and bar are great. Security did a really good job keeping children out.
The whole site is well maintained and clean. It’s right on the beach with a beach bar.
If I had any complaints it would be that the pillows need a refresh, they are feather and smell. I had to cover mine with a towel. Also the hot food in the buffet restaurant system is awful, you queue for ages in front of all the other food. They really need to come up with a better plan for this, I queued for over 20 mins just to get an omelette or fried eggs each morning.
Perfectly located with regular busses right outside. I loved it and would go back.

This is a well-maintained hotel that's been around a while, has the guest experience figured out and mastered, and is a great full-family or couples vacation destination. The overall experience is superb. Rooms are immaculately clean, each with a balcony. From large 1.5 metre deep pools to infinity pools, swim-up bar pools, kiddie pools and hot tubs, this is a place for folks who enjoy a swim. The restaurants are just terrific: Culinary Artistes (CuA) for breakfast and dinner, and the Sundown Grill for lunch. The hours overlap, so from 06:30 to late at night, there is always somewhere to go for a bite. With an all-inclusive package (recommended), you can leave your wallet in the room safe. The wrist band is all you need. It's also good value for the money. The food is fresh, the variety is wide, the servers are attentive, and you can have all you want. And it's just delicious! The beach is wide, clean and the water is warm. From the hotel, the tour operators can arrange visits to Mayan sites or nature adventures. Again, the value for money is excellent, and the guests are picked up and dropped off at the hotel. The staff are kind, polite, gentle and helpful. The default language is, of course, Spanish though everyone speaks more than enough English to get every guest what they want or need. Many of the guests are well-to-do urban Mexicans and airline flight crew, which again says something about the quality and value at the Emporio. It's a short ride ($600 MXD) from the airport. Just out front, the bus can take you up and down the hotel strip, and into central Cancun. Bus trips are ridiculously cheap ($8.5 MXD), air conditioned and safe. The R1 and R2 buses run all the time up and down the hotel strip. You might want to get an eSIM data plan (Airalo or Holafly) if you want data access (not voice or SMS) away from the hotel. These plans are very inexpensive. Arrange before leaving. I can't think of a single thing that was lacking during our seven-day, late November stay. Would we go back to the Emporio Cancun? In a heartbeat. Two thumbs up. Five stars. Plan ahead and enjoy.

The hotel is not bad visually, the sea view is amazing, but paying attention there are many areas of opportunity.

1. There is no variety in the menus: There is only one buffet restaurant for the 3 meals and the dishes are always the same.
There are 2 Ă  la carte restaurants for dinner with prior reservation, so I recommend that once you arrive you book for all nights, because availability runs out very quickly.

2. Lack of service attitude on the part of staff in all areas: It gives much to be desired, the waiters attend you with faces, they do not recommend anything, they take a long time to serve you, etc. Besides, they just try to give attention to foreigners.

3. At the time I was there, they were remodeling a section of the hotel, which meant that they didn’t rest at ease, the rooms didn’t isolate much noise and the machines were heard a lot.

4. The part of the beach that is leaving this hotel is very dirty, there is a lot of trash, cigar butts and drinks thrown away.

5. Lack of maintenance to facilities: In the rooms there is nothing in the fridge bar (in case you expect to find some drinks), some lamps, both room and hallways, do not light. Elevators out of service, hot water from showers takes a long time to get out, among other details.

In conclusion the hotel is not bad, but you pay a lot for the little that it offers you and for the dismal attention, causes your experience is not so pleasant.
I recommend staying in a much cheaper hotel and moving on your own in the hotel zone, it is not complicated because there is public transport 24 hours and you can enter any beach, as they are public.

We are very impressed from the moment we walked in. Bellboy service is very punctual and delivered bags real quick. Receptionists are also first rate, very efficient in explanation and how it is run to have an enjoyable stay. Their wrist band also served as room key - very nice so that you can just go to beach or pool with swim suit only (not needing to worry whether you room keys, belongings will be lost). Staff is so kind and let us in as soon as room is ready and gave a free upgrade.

Rooms are also very clean (in spite of huge amount of sands we carry every day with shoes), spacious rooms and 3 free water bottles for a room every day. Where else can you expect that in Cancun!

Hotel emporio is blessed with 2 restaurants on site are in tripadvisor's top 10 list. It also sells “all inclusive package” which is a better value even if you do not drink alcohol. Food in Cancun hotel zone used to be as good as Las Vegas and now standard is lower, our favorite restaurant Tempo closed during pandemic. Other places are also pricey, better eat hotel food.

The kidsclub with miss Fatima is excellente

The serving staff, miss Sandra and her collegea’s, is excellente

The cleaninglady for oure room is excellente

Arrival @night
There was no welcome. Is was not bizzy at that point. There were no refreshments or drinks for us or the kids. We had to wait very long for the inncheck arrangements. And then in the middle of oure checkinn there came a bunch of stewards and a pilot and the checkinn lady just put us on pause without asking or any notice and helped them first.

The room
Shower on te wall stuck, no handshower
Only soap block, no showergel
The bed is topt with two sheet and a blanket in between
The bed is like 120cm width
Sometimes there can not be a refill of the towels after the cleaning becausethen we call for towels

New years eve dinner party
We paid for this 95 usd for a kid en 135 for a adult
We reserverd en payed in time. We menioned that we eat no beef. Then when the main course was served at 22.30 we got beef. The presentation was pretty do. Then we made a complain about the beef. They promised to get chicken in 10 minutes. At 23.38 we got the main course with salty chicken en fries for the kids. The presentation was a 0! It was just thrown on the plate. Everything was cold to! At that moment the kids where a sleep and aten nothing. For us as parents it was dramatic because you have to entertain the kids that were waiting for there main course that finaly arrives at 23.38 without any excuse. It was sooo not worth the payment. We made a complain about this. They don’t seem to matter. They have the money en we were the only ones with a complain. The staff even de breafast and food manger is not being anost about this situations.)))

The beach
The vieuw is excellente
There is a ruff sea
There is no ruff place for little kids at the beach

Breakfast
Is great, a lot of choice and timely refill
You can ask for coffee and tea and a refill
There is no machine where you can get it yourself

If you like cappucino there are extra cost so not included

If you arrive after 9.00 you have to wait in the line for a place in the restaurant sometimes it takes more than 20 minutes for the wait

In the room there is a coffeekit and a old fashion coffeemachine. No tea.

The hottub’s are only heatan by sun so no sun no hottub.

Food was NOT seasoned. It was very bland and often cold. Room service took an hour even for 1 meal of shrimp—which cooks extremely fast. Yet you could not go order and take anything to your room. All-Inclusive was NOT all-inclusive. There were fees for multiple things. Repeatedly. Resort structure was NOT easily navigated. You have to go up and down so many different levels of stairways to get from one side of the resort to the other. The elevator in my building B was out of order my last day. And I was on the 8th floor. And the resort view is closed in and limiting. You cannot see the beach from the pools—they are surrounded by buildings. Only the infinity pool in the back of the resort overlooks the beach—and it is adult-only. Just ridiculous. There are NOT enough entertainment events. They focus more on things like Zumba and water aerobics, but don’t have game night or game shows or concerts or parties or a night club or a teen club or a pool party or a pool foam party or many of the awesome events and entertainment options I’m used to at better resorts. The best thing about our entire stay was how awesome my housekeeper was. He was so kind and sweet and did an excellent job with cleaning and replenishing our bottled water. But some of the staff in the hut bar and snack bar were rude. They gave my son grief regarding another kid who was not all-inclusive, but my son WAS all-inclusive and I had already shown and explained that to him yet he STILL left me and went to chastise my son. Unacceptable. And wrong. I did not enjoy my stay. Highly DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I have been to many resorts and this is by far the worst I have ever been to. The service is Awful. I came for a week and lost weight. If you want dinner you have to wait until midnight to book a reservation and then it takes 30 min to an hr to register because their reservation app is slow. Otherwise the wait times are rediculous. I came to try and have dinner at 6pm and the wait times were 2-4 hours per restaurant. Went to buffet and the wait time was over an hour still. The food is Awful at buffet as well. If you arent willing to spend 200k on a membership then you will have to wait normally 15 min to get a golf cart ride. If you want a pool chair and you arent elite (which is 200k) then you have to be up at 8 to put a towel down. Room service takes 2 hours and food is always cold. Everyone i spoke to at the resort about issues is unhappy. This was the most stressful vacation ever and I cant wait to get back to work so that i can relax. It was an expensive place and if someone offered me 10k to come here i woildnt because id rather be at work than be in this hell hole.

It was really super food side really all are unanimous high end. Quiet hotel for a group of young people or for people who like animation or partying because no more than 1h30 of animation per day maximum and I am generous. After 11:00 p.m. could nothing and the hotel staff makes it feel too. So the young people enjoyed it less too.

Recommend to go out by catamaran and Coco Bongo ++++++ (6th time for me lol).

As I said it was only 3 1/2 days a week so it was also a game changer because there is no place to gather playing cards, board games etc. When the weather is not good at this hotel at least for the moment no room for gatherings. I don't know because there are renovations at the moment at this hotel. But it did not disturb our stay but happy will be those who will be able to benefit from it in the coming months....

BIG FAIL HOTEL A FIRST FOR US..... our pickup Time being at 16:00, it charges 300 pesos per room so that we continue to benefit from the facilities and all included until 17:00... We didn’t pay but some of the group did... argued that when we arrived after midnight Monday to Tuesday we didn’t abuse anything because we didn’t eat or drink. But it didn’t change anything. Now moral of this story flights that leave in the morning will not realize it but Check out pm or evening is really very very ordinary .... A sincere review at their level for a hotel of this range.

Since the weather wasn’t good and there is no place to meet in a group under cover (sport bar too small) and I personally found that the animation didn’t mobilize to entertain guests as well ... The animation manager either seemed very limited in the animation budget too. Everything didn't last long quality show (20 minutes lol) silent disco that is WoW but a top timed hour without more ....

So here is an honest review of the resort!!! It all depends on your expectations with family ok if your not in the evening .....

:)

This place is awful. The management is awful and they do not care about their customers. We were forced to stay an extra day due to the flooding (taxi/shuttle out of service) and no one cared to accommodate for us and help us. When we asked for a discount, the lady lied and said she issued a discount for us but when we got to the front desk, that same priced that was supposedly discounted was the actual full price. They did not even try to accommodate for us.

The pool/Jacuzzis are usually dirty and cold and the attractions are pretty boring here. The beach is clean so I have no issues with that.
Most of the information they have about the resort are incorrect (like the restaurant hours, planned activities, etc). You really have to walk into a place yourself to see if a restaurant is actually open or not.

Some of the workers are nice but some of them purposely try to cater to Spanish speakers than guests of other languages. There were several times where I felt ignored but a person next to me who spoke Spanish received all of the attention. I understand that people tend to connect more with people that share the same language as them, but as a worker at a resort with guests from all over, you need to be flexible and accommodate everyone, equally. DO NOT come here if you only speak English. This resort clearly prefers Spanish speakers only.

They also advertised that if you have an all inclusive package, your fridge will be stocked. It was not and I was told that they don't stock fridges which was frustrating.
The restaurants are pretty nice but the buffets was pretty bad. The food is very mediocre and even the Mexican food was subpar which is crazy because we're in Cancun! Also, the food selection does not compliment each other and the rice (on multiple days) were undercooked.

GO AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Dear Najay. First of all, I would like to thank you for staying with us no matter the reason. I am very sorry you had to stay during the storm, of course, during a contingency, as we had during the night of your stay, all our operation goes in a different goal, which is to observe and be ready to take desitions for our guests integrity. We did changed our schedules, of course our hotel got dirty, we were through a storm. Nevertheless, we are very happy we did not have any incident with our more than 1000 guests in house. Also, our staff had to work double shifts for the lack of transportation in the city for the new staff to arrive. Once again I am sorry for your experience, but rest assure that at Emporio Cancún we are ready to give priority to your welfare. Cordially! José P, Caballero. Guest service manager.
