We had a wonderful stay at Villa du Golf. The room was comfortable and spacious. The pool area is beautiful. The breakfast is delicious. Most of all, the staff are really wonderful and kind. There are no refrigerators in the rooms, but they were more than happy to store a bottle of wine in the kitchen for us. They even insisted on giving us real wine glasses when we opened our bottle. An added bonus for me was that there are cats in the courtyard! It can be hard to find a good location restaurant within walking distance. But that is because of the inclusive hotels along the main strip. But the hotel will arrange a taxi for you to the more populated areas. But, the beautiful hotel is beyond expectations for a reall Cancun stay. We would highly recommend staying here.

Lovely quiet comfortable place. Spacious room. Very pleasant staff. Also speak English which makes it easy if you don't know Spanish. No crowds like the big resorts.

Just steps away from the Hotel Zone so easy to get around. Backing onto the golf course.

We don't usually take the bus but bus R1 and R2 to Downtown literally runs every minute and only costs $1 so no need to take a taxi to get to Downtown, Market 28 or anywhere on the Hotel Zone.

The staff are wonderful, the rooms are clean & spacious, and the location is great! We were able to walk for about 5 mins to get to the nearest convenience store and restaurants. The beach is about 15-20 mins by foot. Breakfast was delicious too. Would definitely stay here again! Keep in mind you're staying in Villa so this isn't your typical hotel experience; frankly we preferred this and found it more hospitable and cozy.

Nice-looking place and helpful staff. Terrible water pressure in shower (like a trickle), which really spoiled our experience of an otherwise nice room. Other guests reported the same problem so it’s clearly an ongoing issue. Understaffed too, nobody at desk in the morning to deal with guest queries etc, leaving kitchen lady to set out/manage breakfast and everything else.

We had a very good stay at La Villa du Golf. Our room was spacious and very clean, and the property itself is very pretty (the courtyard/pool area looked lovely, though we didn't use the pool). It's located at the end of a long street that ends in a cul-de-sac; the road is very quiet and isolated but felt safe. We were able to walk from the hotel into the heart of the Cancun party/hotel zone to get dinner and explore a bit (though we took a taxi back). The staff were welcoming and friendly and called us a taxi in the morning when we were headed to the airport.

If you are going to Cancun for partying, you may want to stay in one of the hotels that's a lot closer to the clubs so you don't have a long walk. We took a taxi back after a late dinner because the walk is 20+ minutes and passes through some dark/isolated areas (there is also a bus that runs back and forth to the hotel zone out on the main street).

We only had one brief overnight in Cancun so this didn't matter for us but note that the hotel does not have beach access, if that's important to you during your visit! Thematically, the hotel feels a bit confused (the name suggests it might be French or golf themed, but the decor is very buddhist).

Overall, a comfortable, clean, and quiet place to stay, with friendly staff!

So glad we found this private mansion converted into a bed and breakfast type setting. Total of 6 bedrooms, all with a private bathroom. The main entry is extremely beautiful and inviting. The breakfast every morning is better than some we have had at 5 star resorts. It is extremely quiet with quick taxi service to the main part of town. We are already booked to stay here again in January 2021.

We loved this hotel. It has such a cool Hispanic vibe. It was authentic and entirely different to the big hotels that dominate the area. Breakfast was delicious and looked out over the beautiful pool and garden. We were so glad to stay here on our first night in Mexico - thank you!

Great small hotel. Room was very unique, beautiful actually. I believe there were only 6 or 8 rooms in the building. Staff was friendly, breakfast was delicious. Only negative was the air conditioning. It worked, but left a bit to be desired. Possibly undersized for the room? Don't let this MINOR complaint deter you from staying. Well worth it.

I stayed here for two nights with some friends. We didn't spend much time at the house, but it was awesome! It was huge and nicely decorated. A high end home that we felt safe in during our stay. It was convenient for us to walk anywhere we needed to go. The home has everything you need for your stay. I highly recommend this property.
