For the best Chichen Itza experience, it is best to be there first thing in the morning, so I booked 2 rooms for the 4 of us at Hacienda Chichen. This place is incredible! The main building has a restaurant (breakfast, lunch and dinner by menu - extra charge), spa and boutique shop. The grounds are maintained beautifully with water...

I first noticed this amazing Hacienda when some friends were guests and I was lodged across the street at a different hotel and I was really jealous as the landscaped gardens and pool looked amazing. Luckily, I had the chance to visit the Hacienda again on my way through town months later and I booked a room for two nights....

As others have noted the property is gorgeous and tranquil, and perhaps the best I've experienced in my trips around the world. A very recent review by Wendy P captures some of the highlights. Oddly, the hotel reception desk and room did not provide any brochures describing its history. What I learned came on the last day from the gentlemen...

This lovely historic location is a short walk from the Chichen Itza ruins. History surrounds you as the main Hacienda Chichen hotel dates to the 1600's. Our bungalow was not one of the original archelogist's cabanas but a more modern very comfortable structure in the style of those older cabanas. Peace and quiet surround this green paradise. There are things...

Stayed one night here to visit the most well known of the Mayan sites. You can gain access to the site through a private gate to the ruins. Reading some of the reviews we were a little apprehensive about the hotel and staff but apart from the reception staff we found the staff helpful and attentive. The food was better...

I have to disagree with other here. The hacienda is very pretty and has a 20m rectangular pool you can actually swim in, extensive grounds with iguana and stunning birds (which eventually lead to the back of a pyramid within the Chichen Itza site if you walk around 2km), basic rooms with fridge, no coffee/tea making, shower which takes forever...

Thank you for staying with us, and for sending us your feedback. We have different options when it comes to rooms. All of them are unique in its size and decor. We do offer coffee makers in some of them and service of mini-bar too. It's recommended to read our website and getting in touch with our reservations experts, they...

This property is absolutely Stunning! Beautiful entrance area with big gardens that are very well looked after. Nice pool area and a restaurant with a view. We stayed in one of the suites which was nice and spacious but very simple. I guess a Junior Suite would have also been ok considering the little time we spent in the room....

We are just back from a trip to Mexico with our teenagers which included a long stay on the beach in Tulum, two nights at Hacienda Chichen, and then on to Merida. The place we cannot stop talking about is Hacienda Chichen. First of all it is a lovely historic hacienda with a beautiful tropical garden and pool but that...

Laid out around the hacienda hotel has beautiful gardens which incorporate some of the remnants of the former buildings. The central area with the dining room and reception is incorporated into the hacienda itself. The rooms are bungalows and there are 2 rooms to a bungalow. The only oddity was that one room has the front external porch as its...

It certainly is a good first impression when you slump into a comfy chair at reception in the hotel and there is the soothing sound of a water fountain in the background and a trio of musicians accompanying those already at dinner, and then Jose Luis says, as greeting, “Welcome home.” Bliss. Already disappointed that our stay is only one...
