First, book a Mayan Observatory room view. It was amazing. I loved sitting out on my balcony looking at the observatory and watching all sorts of cute birds fly about. The room itself was surprisingly nice with a massive bathroom and soaking jetted tub. The hotel itself is really beautiful. We enjoyed walking around the grounds. There is an a...

One night is sufficient at the hotel if you want to go to the evening light show at Chichen Itza and gain early access into Chichen Itza the next morning. It is at a prime location and is convenient. We were not able to get into our room early, not even by 1 minute. They laughed when we asked if...

"Overpriced" is in the wallet of the beholder... We feel, and most of our guests agree (kindly read their reviews) that we are a very reasonably priced resort, some even use words like "surprisingly affordable for what The Mayaland is". Thanks for your visit.

This hotel was part of a private tour so i have no idea how much it cost to stay here, but it would have to be worth every penny. To have access to Chichen Itza and hour before the hordes invade the site is the biggest plus, we had a one day pass from the previous day and the guys...

Often hotels that are close to major tourist sites disappoint. Mayaland Hotel and Bungalows couldn't have been closer to Chichen Itza and was absolutely excellent. Rooms are large and very well equipped. The grounds are immaculate and there are 3 pools to use. Restaurants were good and very reasonably priced. Finally there are a lot of staff and all were...

The hotel and property are beautiful. But the best thing is that there is a private entrance to Chichen Itza. Our room had a gorgeous patio with a view of the Observatory ruin at Chichen Itza. The rooms are large and quite comfortable. We skipped the buffet, and ate at the wood-fired pizza place for lunch. And for dinner, we...

There are not too many options to stay near Chichen Itza. We stayed at Mayaland for 2 nights and were not very impressed with the hotel or service. The best part of the hotel is that it has direct access to the Chichen ruins, allowing you early access at 8am before other guests arrive. The resort itself is fairly large...

We failed to impress you and exceed your expectations. Interesting that such a mediocre experienced deserved so much of your time describing it....Makes me wonder...

You will have a private entrance to Chichen Itza. It's definitely worth the price. Rooms are clean, shower is terrific and campus is beautiful. Additionally there are two pools in the area and a restaurant/bar. Transportation into Piste is convenient. Piste is a cute little town with quaint restaurants, bakeries and grocery stores.

We were wowed by the gardens and jungle-feel at this hotel, which was pretty empty despite being high season. Lovely spacious room with a giant bathtub. That you just have to walk 5 mins to the back entrance of Chichen itza makes the early start to see the ruins before the tour groups arrive much easier! Only suggestion: could improve...

Myself and two others traveled to Mexico, booking the Mysteries of the Mayans tour. We stayed in the Mayaland Hotel on the edge of the Chichen Itza park. The grounds of the hotel are very lovely. It is well maintained, except for one area which seemed to have a natural gas leak or sewage problem. Our room was very comfortable....

I prefer the bungalows that are booked through the Lodge at Chichen Itza as each grouping of bungalows has a pool, quiet, away from groups coming for lunch, and comfortably beautiful. The grounds that are shared with the Hotel & Bungalows Mayaland are beautiful, clean, attract butterflies and birds, and often one can stroll alone - making for a very...
