A very pleasant hotel adjacent to the Archeological Park of Chichen Itza. A hotel with typical Mexican color. We stayed in the main building because we had requested a room with view to the ruins.Nice clean room with large beds and a big veranda. Not many extras but had complimentary water.Safe boxes only in the Reception. The staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast...

Me and my girlfriend arrived around 4pm they were waiting for us at a gate but did not delay our entrance. They received us with a nice cocktail on the house, moist towelettes and by the time i had the first drink from those cups they brought us, our room was ready and hotel staff waiting for us with our luggage...

Location (short walk into Chichen Itza) and really lovely gardens and nice pool. The rooms however need an overhaul; most especially the beds need to be replaced - these were the worst beds we have had in 10 week trip. Rooms also tired and shabby. The restaurant staff were lovely and even arranged for something that wasn't on the menu.

Bungalows were great, it was nice waking up to the sounds of the jungle. Service was excellent. We went in the slow season so we had one of the pools all to ourselves. It was a nice break from the commercialization of cozumel.

What else can I say except WOW! I took my 18 yr old son to Mexico to visit the ruins - most especially Chichen Itza. We have been talking about this since he was around 5 yrs old because I've shown him pictures of when I was there in 1989. When I decided to take him on a surprise trip,...

We were recently staying near Tulum and decided to take a couple of days to see the amazing ruins at Chichen Itza which are located about 3 hours west of Tulum towards Merida in the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico. We were simply delighted at this fabulous hotel which was first built in 1923 at the gates of Chichen itza. You can...

The hotel has its own entrance to the site of the ruins. We stayed in one of the bungalows for a 3 night stay to visit Chichen Itza and other Mayan ruins in the area. Insects and bugs to come visiting but considering the thatched roof and location you just have to accept this. There are nets over the beds...

We stayed two nights with family. The food and service were excellent. Three of the four don't eat gluten and that was easily and safely accommodated by the chef. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The pools are clean and very quiet. Go to the ruins early in the morning to avoid crowds and the heat. The staff were friendly...

In our many trips to Chichen Itza, we always longed to stay at Mayaland. The building and the grounds look so inviting, and the location right at the entrance of the ruins can't be beat. But when we've walked in and looked at the posted prices, our hearts sank - very pricy and beyond our reach. Fast forward to now,...
