I booked this resort with friends back at the beginning of January. In the 2 weeks leading up to our stay, the reviews on here were HORRIBLE. I was so scared that I packed enough snacks to last me the week in case the food was inedible. I brought Clorox wipes in case it was filthy. Seriously, I was terrified...

On the morning of our departure, I came to Trip Advisor to read about what to expect. I hate to say it but I was VERY discouraged. I read about bed bugs, filth, bad food, hard beds, terrible service and more. I warned my husband that we may be in for an interesting trip. I fretted all the way to...

It was the best trip i've had in years. Usually I'm a solo traveller and I don't mind going into 2 or 3 stars. This hotel was GREAT. The beach is beautiful and the snorkling is perfect, you don't need to go far and you get to see nice fish in the water. People that say the food is not...

First let me clear up some off the misconceptions about the cleanliness of the drinking glasses at the beach bar. For anyone who bothered to ask the glasses are cleaned with a sanitizing agent that is hooked up to the sink area in the beach bar. Therefore when they look like the glasses are just being rinsed they are actually...

Overall I would recommend the allegro BUT!!! First the good. Contrary to other reviews my wife and I found the room and resort clean. The room was spotless everyday after the maid, and the grounds were very clean. The beach will take your breath away, clean, cozy, we were there in high season and didn't have to struggle to get...

They have one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. Kayaking was a blast! The pools are well kept (but cold in Feb), the grounds are pretty, the kids' playground is fantastic but the food is terrible...absolutely terrible. There is ONE place for breakfast, ONE place for lunch and ONE place for dinner. You can make reservations at...

We were not sure what to expect even after reading many reviews from this hotel but it's best to use them as a guideline only! We ventured to Cozumel for the first time with our two teenagers and found this hotel to be very accomodating to any age group. We thought the buffets were amazing some items repetitive but those...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In Mexico’s Caribbean there is a tiny island just bursting with life – it is Cozumel and the Allegro Cozumel resort. Right on the famous Sand Francisco Beach, two worlds of adventure co-exist: The Fun-in-the-sun beach and the amazing undersea Palancar Reef. Whatever you choose to pursue, Allegro Cozumel places it right at your fingertips. Beach Volleyball, tropical bars, restaurants, and nightclubs keep life on land exciting, while the on-site dive shop and big-game sport-fishing charters offer a gateway into the dazzling marine sanctuary of Cozumel’s waters. And when you awake the next morning, after a relaxing night’s sleep in your comfortable guest room, you’ll find there’s even more to explore, because the adventure never stops at Allegro. For the young ones, there is plenty to do from building sand castles alongside the beautiful powdery white sand beach, get physical at the amazing kid’s multiplay covered playground, catch some giggles at the water park, or take advantage of the many activities offered by the Kids clubs. ... more   less
