Cozumel Palace's prime location is frequently celebrated by guests who enjoy easy access to local shops and safe taxi travel. The hotel's cleanliness and recent renovations are widely praised, contributing to a serene and intimate atmosphere. While the staff is generally recognized for their attentiveness, some visitors have noted slow service.
Guests are divided on the value, with some feeling the cost outweighs the benefits. Room experiences vary, but ocean views and snorkeling opportunities are popular, despite calls for more dining variety and longer lifeguard hours.

This resort was on the smaller side which we really enjoyed. Close to Cozumel and the Ferry Terminal. It’s a little dated but the grounds and property are kept very clean. Two pools, 2 sand area’s and a children’s play area. You can snorkel right off the resort. We didn’t see much though. Keep in mind that there is no beach. The all inclusive program was above average. The food on the buffet offered at morning and lunch gave us a wide variety of hot and cold food. The Italian and Japanese restaurants were very good, as was the out door grill at lunch. There was a decent selection of included alcohol and the house wine passed as being ok. Hand sanitizer was available for use at all restaurants. That was a big plus for me when a buffet is offered. They have a coffee and sweet shop which offered up a selection of pasties, cakes, crepes, fruit, chocolates, ice cream, and coffee’s. I noticed that this was a big hit with the kids. All staff were very friendly and helpful. I had noticed on-line that people have complained about members being given priority over lounge chairs at the pool. This was true but, if asked, the staff at the pool would always set up chairs and umbrellas for us wherever we could find a spot out of the sun. We are not a big fan of loungers anyways so it worked out well for us. We were given a room on the main floor. Room was an adequate size, ocean facing. Juliette balcony. Large jacuzzi tub between bed and sitting area. We never used it but if your in to that, then I’m sure you’d enjoy it. Ensuite was spacious with a large walk-in shower. One issue that I will point out is that if you go to sleep early than you may find the main floor rooms a little noisy as the bar and coffee area are just down the hall. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Cozumel Palace.

Nice resort near airport and downtown on Cozumel. Resort is smaller than others that we have stayed at and we enjoyed the smaller size. Room was very nice and the staff kept it clean and stocked daily. Every room has ocean view. Air conditioning worked, beds were comfortable. There is no beach but you can snorkel or swim right off the dock on the hotel oceanfront. Water is clear and there are actual rocks and reefs that you can see some fish swimming around. Pool was OK, a little small but good enough and of course had a wet bar. One complaint which probably can be said about any resort is that there are not enough chairs for all guests. This resort has a large chair deficit and half of the chairs are reserved by the hotel for "Diamond" members and the other half have towels placed on them by 06:30 every morning so they are supposedly "claimed" by someone. As usual, the chairs are mostly occupied by vacant towels most of the day because the people who "claimed" the chairs are out doing other things or sitting in the pool. But we found other places to sit and were able to successfully battle for two chairs when we wanted to sit on the deck. There are four restaurants and we had no trouble sitting whenever we wanted with no reservations. The food was excellent. Breakfast is buffet with made to order eggs. Lunch is buffet with made to order grill items. Dinners are served off menus and not a crappy buffet like some resorts. Liquor is brand name and the bartenders were great. Two thumbs up from my wife and I for the Cozumel Palace in Cozumel.

♪ If you're Mexican ♪ ♪ looking for a good hotel to stay this holiday, I very sadly ask you ♪ ♪ don't consider Cozumel Palace. ♪
Although the rooms and service in the pool are good (as the price should be given), the attitude of the management I can only define as **racist**.
We are a family of 5, we pay for the Expedia VIP experience and, on two separate occasions, we suffered racist attitudes from restaurant management.
First, at the Italian restaurant, it took 50 minutes to take our order and another 50 to get the tickets out, and this just because we complained. On any other occasion I would have attributed it to a mistake, but I cannot ignore that the tables around, where there were only foreigners, received their dishes in time and form. The restaurant is not very large, and we do not hear anyone else speaking Spanish.
Second, the manager of the Italian restaurant promised a table overlooking the show at the grill restaurant as compensation. The reservation was made two days in advance, for 15 minutes after opening. That same afternoon we were confirmed that our table was ready. But on arrival, we were given the table farthest from the show. It didn’t matter that the booking was made by a manager, the anticipation, or that we were guaranteed the location. When I asked, the manager excused the bad treatment by saying that each restaurant operates on its own, unapologetically and with a high-handed attitude. To top it off, I asked directly and confirmed that there were no Mexican families near the show. It was so awkward that we ended up having dinner in our rooms.
It is a shame that in your own country you are treated like this, as if our currency has no eagle, as if we are Mexicans less. **If you have a chance to go, you better miss it**. Last time I stay here.

We relocated from another resort and arrived to the most beautiful resort with the best service you could ever want! The rooms were airy and spacious with lovely balconies (we could see the dolphin encounter next door from the balcony and went out every morning to watch them being fed and jumping for joy) and always cleaned so nicely. Our safe battery was dead and they replaced it immediately. The 4 restaurants were amazing I can't say enough about the food quality. So much choice and very high quality in each location. The coffee bar nook in the corner of the lobby gives you an additional option with fresh macarons and delicious cakes to get a generous slice of and it's open until 9 p.m. It's close enough that you can walk into town at any time--about a 10 minute walk with shopping along the way. There is a large grocery store directly across the street and they do have an atm where you can get american dollars out (for a price of course....) It was so enjoyable we plan to return again toward the end of the year if time permits. Everything about this resort is top notch and well worth what you pay for it.

Cozumel palace is a fab hotel. The service is amazing. We spent 2 weeks during May and since our last visit the restaurants have really improved. Subtle changes around the resort are welcome, a new coffee shop, repainted bedrooms to a more modern and relaxing colour. The staff are great, nothing is too much trouble in particular Martha, Filiberto, Joel the sommelier, Maria the chef, Emmanuel the pool concierge and of course David, and Nina Puc An example, i made a mention of no orange juice in the mini bar (mango instead) on the mid stay survey, not a complaint just an suggestion for improvement. Within 1 hour orange juice was delivered to the room and replenished each day. I was shocked by the immediate response. The team at the spa are competent and good selection of treatments. The final thing, the sunsets are incredible

This was our twenty fourth visit to the Palace. Yes, we have been a lot of times. The main reason is the staff. Service is superb, period, food is mostly good. This trip was less enjoying, for a couple reasons. Palace has stopped allowing you to have snacks served to you while in your lounge chair by the pool?? I know this sounds crazy, but it is true. When I asked why, I was told because the birds were eating what was dropped or from plates left behind. Now, I have seen a waiter take all of 5 minutes to collect the plates or pick up any spills. So now you are to order and then get up and go to the dining canopy tent to eat. Now the real issue, the birds did not get the memo that they could not eat where they choose, so, many birds with you under the tent instead of out in the open. The first time we ordered a simple snack, it took 2 hours. Yes, 2 hours. Now, I don't know which genius came up with this, but really needs to be commended,,(fired). The tent seats about 45 people,so if hotel is 65%, do the math. Now if it rains, everyone heads for the tent area and guess what, no room for you to eat or the birds. The other thing is they used to have several beer choices, now two, I think. After many trips there, one would think the time share people would know you aren't buying and leave you alone. No, now they have a girl who says she is customer service to snag you, only to be a time share person as well. Don't get me wrong, most of the workers are great, love their jobs, and provide excellent service, but when the resort does not please guests and their needs, things go south. Many folks on TA have contacted me in the past about Cozumel and the Palace, please still feel free to do so.Not sure if we will return, considering Westin or Playa Azul if we do. I hope the Palace Management and Mr. Chapur are looking at reviews and take them to heart.

This was my third time at a palace resort property and two of the times have been at Cozumel Palace its a beautiful resort with beautiful view from all the rooms and the entire staff here at Cozumel Palace is amazing, friendly, and personable. The amazing service starts before you even walk in the door with the doormen who don't even let you lift a finger with your bags and they are just delivered to your room quickly. Then it continues with amazing service the second you walk in the door you are meeted with cool refreshing wash cloths and a yummy refreshing drink to start off your stay. It doesn't stop there once you are settled in expect nothing but amazing service your entire stay from every single staff member! Cozumel palace makes your vacation so easy and stress free its easy to set up excursions and spa services and the location is so close to shopping. The pool side servers are top notch they took such great care of our large group for several days! Jossie was awesome she made sure we always had drinks never did we run dry and she also would bring rounds of water as well as bring us food so we could enjoy full days at the pool! Emmanuel, Alan, Jorge, and Jairo were also outstanding with the large group that we had they all took such amazing care of us! While at the pool I cant forget the awesome entertainment staff - Rodrigo, Dianne, Luis, Moises, David who would get us involved in fun volleyball games or trivia or come by making us all braclets so much fun. All the restaurant staff is amazing as well Fili at the breakfast buffet is probably one of the best servers I have ever had. He would learn what we liked to drink and have it at our table before we even sat down he was so nice and attentive! Johnny was also so helpful and nice and was able to get us a few tablets together for our large group. Also I can't forget about the bartenders who were outstanding! Raul made such amazing drinks and shots and took such great care of us a few nights when we hung outside by the pool bar. Rodrigo, Juan, Luis, Gabriel all did awesome jobs as well depending on what you were doing you got different amazing bartenders every where you went. The entire staff at Cozumel Palace is outstanding and I wish I had a list of every single employee so that I could name them all! I had such a great time at Cozumel Palace and would recommend it to everyone! Thank you so much Cozumel Palace for two amazing vacations!

Today is the last day of our weeklong stay at the Cozumel Palace. There are many positives about the Palace however, the negatives overshadow the positives. Originally, we booked a room that was on the first floor, which we weren’t aware of. My husband was notified via email of our options to upgrade, which we gladly requested. Our room is on the fifth floor with a full ocean view, balcony and hammock. We are happy with the room, comfort of the bed and most importantly, the cleanliness. The housekeeping staff has been amazing, along with wait staff and reception. We ate at the Mexican restaurant once and were happy with our meal. We also ate at the buffet and ordered room service a few times. Neither would warrant a five star review but both were adequate. We found most drinks to be sweet and/or watered down. We also had $1,000 in resort credit with our booking, and were able to use $200 (max allowed) of that towards a couples massage at the spa. Both the spa and the massages were wonderful. Now the reason for my poor review. Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted at reception, given a cool washcloth to refresh and a glass of cucumber water. All very impressive until we turned around and were immediately approached by a timeshare representative. After a day of traveling, this is absolutely the last thing we wanted. Said representative proceeded to do his pitch for a free jeep rental, etc. if we would do the timeshare presentation. Major turn off! My husband repeatedly said no to the offer and we avoided the reps (which sit at desks in the lobby) for the duration of our stay. Secondly, during our entire stay we did not find an empty chair in the pool area. People must get up during the night to mark their chairs! There are towels, books and other items on the chairs but no people on them. Chairs sit marked and unused for hours. Since there is no beach and there were no empty chairs, today, on our last day, we finally bought tickets and went to a beach club down the road. The fact that we had to do this to find a chair by a pool is totally unacceptable. This alone warrants a poor review!
In closing, if you are looking for a vacation without time share pressure and want to relax by the pool, don’t stay at this place.
