The rooms were likely exquisite in 1989- there’s definitely a 80s vibe happening. But, the lobby and restaurants are lovely and the pool and “beach” areas are very nice as well. There’s no real beach, but you can still swim in the ocean and snorkel. The fish are amazing! The staff is unbelievably friendly and courteous. They make you feel at home and are very accommodating. The food? Eh. It’s typical all-inclusive food, so don’t come with high culinary expectations. Skip the dinner buffet, for sure. I would come back due to the outstanding staff and snorkeling. Also, they take covid precautions VERY seriously, as does the entire island.
Large and comfortable rooms (if you are not tricked to be given a r/c room as we were in the first night) with superb cold brew coffee, nice cocktails and outstanding breakfast, served by friendly personal. The only minus is the lack of a beach to enjoy at the property.
What a wonderful and quaint resort... beautiful and clean inside and out! I think our family did literally everything on the island (rented a jeep to explore the island including a stop at coconuts, entire family went scuba diving and family pictures),which was an experience of a lifetime!! But when we weren’t out and about, we loved all the amenities and staff on site! All the day time activities were great and our kids loved participating; Randy was amazing and got to know our family well - he was a perfect “Easter bunny” too:) my hubby and I especially loved our poolside server Marco - let’s just say you need to try his “special” margarita:) memories were made and our palace family will be missed - till next time!
'Recently spent 10 days at Cozumel Palace in a loft suite which worked out great with our 2 teenagers! The palace staff were so helpful and friendly especially Anna, Rocia, Emmanuel, Carlos and Pasqual. We had such a good time snorkeling right out front and it was so convenient we didn't have to go and take a special boat trip to do some snorkeling. The food was very good in all the restaurants and it's hard to pick a favorite but the asian Momonohana was very impressive! We had room service a couple of times and it was so delicious and delivered in good time-the motelenos for breakfast were especially tasty. The drinks were good and the variety was unending! We had wonderful massages at the spa, did the introductory scuba lesson where Patricio did a fine job-so enjoyable and went to swim with the dolphins and took a day to explore the east side and visit the San Gervasio ruins. This trip we booked through Viator with a private driver and it really was a worry free way to go. All in all we had a great trip making lots of special memories and Cozumel Palace was the perfect place for this family's vacation. A big thank you to everyone and would highly recommend this palace resort.…
Top notch service at check-in, covid testing scheduling, bars and restaurants. However over 1/3 of the outdoor space seems underconstruction. Hence 90% of pool side loungers and 100% of the sand seating is RESERVED FOR CLUB MEMBERS. After paying the most I've paid for a yearly Mexico/Caribbean vacation, this is disappointing. Stick to the larger palace resorts. Skip this one.
