A quiet small hotel complex with seven villa style suites, surrounded by a tropical garden with a private atmosphere. One block away from the ocean in the heart of Cozumel where you find restaurants, bars, main shopping areas and the pier to Playa del Carmen. The attention and suites are wonderful with everything you need. We are able to offer stay and dive packages with several local dive shops.

My wife Paula and I were staying in Playa Del Carmen for three weeks so we decided to pop over to Cozumel for night. Seeing as it was just for one night, and I was going to be fishing all day, we didn't bother checking out the fancy hotels and resorts. Instead, we read the TripAdvisor reviews on Villas Las Anclas and decided to give it a try. What a great choice that turned out to be! This place is fantastic. From the super clean bathroom's to the well appointed rooms, this place just blew us away. Even the tiny swimming pool area gushed with a tranquil, Zen-like energy. We could not have been happier with the accommodations and that is not even the best aspect of this hotel. By chance we ran into the owner, a charming lady who promptly offered us two delicious pieces of Rom Cake, no charge. Cesare at the front desk was wonderfully helpful as well, but the star of the show was Rosie, who checked us in and supported us in so many ways. It was like having a best friend who just happened to be working at the hotel. She really understands the meaning of the word hospitality. Thanks again Rosie! I wasn't overly impressed with Cozumel and am not sure I will ever return, but if I do, you know where to find me. Kickin' back at the Villas Las Anclas.

I don’t want to share, but I do want to praise Villas Las Anclas. Everything was excellent—the staff was lovely, the space itself was dreamy (stylized 60s and comfortable) the other guests were charming. This place is in town, rather than sequestered away, so meals were walkable. I couldn’t have dreamed up a nicer place to stay while visiting Cozumel.

I was a little hesitant because the pictures did not look as nice as some of the other places in the area and the amenities seemed limited but I am SO GLAD we stayed here! The suites are very spacious for two people, there is cleaning every third day I think (?) during COVID, but I think if you ask they can do it every day. The pool is small but super cute and very clean. The garden is gorgeous - lots of different plants and flowers and little artsy knick knacks. I loved working on my laptop from there. Wifi was great. The kitchen is kind of basic so I wouldn't count on making hot meals, but there is a grill I saw people using. And there is coffee in the reception in the morning that you can pour for yourself. There are lots of little local art touches throughout the apartment, made made want to visit the gallery they advertise but I didn't have time. The location is super central, you can walk to a ton of restaurants, cafes, the boardwalk, etc. For an extra fee you can park in the neighbors parking lot. The only negative was that the stained glass window lets a lot of light in an night and there's not way to cover it - it was a little hard to sleep but eventually I got used to it. The ladies at the front desk are so warm and welcoming - always suggesting ways they could help, like calling a taxi company and telling me how much I should be charged. I was mostly here for scuba diving but I feel like they could have helped me find things to do also had I had more time. Definitely staying here if when come back!

Loved this hotel, Close to everything in town, Super clean and comfortable. Great hot water showers. Great Wifi. Nice pool. Safe and friendly. For the price it is top choice. Highly recommend. We really enjoyed our time here and not being isolated out at a all inclusive gigantic resport.
