Inexpensive stay at Playa del Norte on Isla Mujeres. The rooms were average with a small & cramped bathroom. They did have a small refrigerator in the room, plus a small pitcher that could be filled with bottled water for drinking. It is located a few blocks from the main street with eateries, though the walk was not bad. The room...

We have stayed in this hotel before and liked the location but found that the facility could use a face lift. One should always question a hotel that requires a deposit of 150 dollars and now I know why. At our recent stay in late december we were accused of having broken a shelf in the room. The shelf was...

Awesome location on a beautiful beach. Very basic rooms, ours was a Castle room, so right at the front of the block looking down to the beach with a cool balcony. Booked this in July for a December booking, through direct with hotels. Emailed hotel before arriving to check all ok to be told direct with hotels had cancelled our...

A fantastic place near the best beach. But I have never meet so many disagreeable in the staff on my travels round the world. The cleaning staff and the men who pick up the dish they where friendly. But all the others where so unhelpful, disagreeable and ignorant!!! i´m chocked!!! I never heard a good morning, hallo or thanks!

What a lovely little hotel. During our stay over Christmas, we found the staff to be cheerful, helpful, and cordial. The tower room we occupied was clean and very quiet. Let me say that again. CLEAN and QUIET. There were no bugs in our room and the bed linen was clean. The maid came daily and did a fabulous job....

My boyfriend and I visited Isla Mujeres for a romantic trip. Our first hotel was La Joya which was absolutely lovely and priced at just $75/night for a room right on the beach with excellent service and very clean rooms. They were unfortunately booked after the first couple days of our stay so we moved to the last room available...

The Cabanas Maria del Mar comes in two very different guises: on the left hand side of the street, with the reception an main complex, it has a lovely garden, shady hideaways, a little library and a small, but workable pool area. Lovely atmosphere, beautiful. On the other side of the road is a rather more run-of-the-mill tourist service building,...
