We were nervous abut staying at Hotel Secreto after reading the mixed reviews, especially about the construction next door. We found that there was absolutely no need to worry though! The construction noise was not bothersome while we were there- frankly, the surf was louder. The hotel is clean, stylish, and a quick walk to the North Beach (beautiful!) and...

Hotel Secreto certainly lived up to its billing. I echo what others on this site have said about its style, service and outstanding value -- and add a couple of things based on our experience. Construction work was being done at the property next door which was at times a bit noisy. Upon check-out, without our having said a word...

We booked our reservations at Hotel Secreto six months before our trip and looked so forward to our four day getaway from our hectic lives in Chicago. But we became increasingly concerned about the construction issue (based on what we read on Trip Advisor) and as our vacation grew near we considered canceling our reservation. However, we went as planned...

We just returned from a week on Isla. We spent two nights at Hotel Secreto and wish we didn't have to leave! We arrived early and they stored our luggage while we walked around the island. When we got back, check-in was efficient and they led us to our room, where our luggage was waiting for us. The room was...

My wife and I went to Secreto with my brother and his girlfriend in August 2006 for 6 nights. It was absolutely wonderful. That time of year in Mexico is very, very hot and humid and my wife was about 6 weeks pregnant so we ended up spending quite a bit of time in our room (not our usual practice...

My wife and myself just returned from Secreto after a 5 day stay. This was our second trip back to Secreto and this time we were joined by another couple. We throughly enjoyed our stay again this time. The rooms are beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. We spent our days relaxing around the pool and lounging on the day beds....

My husband and I have stayed at Secreto every year since it opened and love it. After the improvements a couple of years ago, the rooms are huge and so beautiful with the sparkling white interiors. There is nothing better than lounging on your outdoor bed while sipping a pina colada and listening to the ocean. Scott Boyan and his...

Unlike the previous reviewer I have stayed in Mexico over 100 times and know exactly what to expect. We range from Intercontinental Presidente luxury hotels to small diver hotels. We wanted to see Isla Mujeres on the front end of 10 day diving trip to Cozumel, where we go twice a year. We looked at the reviews and picked Hotel...

My husband and I chose to spend our honeymoon at Hotel Secreto over much debate in unfamiliar territory. Although both of us have traveled abroad, neither of us had ever been to Mexico and chose Hotel Secreto based on TripAdvisor recommendations and spectacular write ups in well-known publications. We arrived at night after traveling through two Mexican airports tired and...

I did not actually stay at this hotel but had to choose a date in order to write a review. My fiancee and I had planned on staying for one week in mid December, 2007 for our honeymoon. Well in October, 2007 my fiancee learned that she had cancer of the uterus and needs a hysterectomy. This means that she...
