This was my second year in a row that I have stayed at Hotel Las Palmas and a again it was awesome! Can't say enough about Safari & Scott and how they make sure their Guests are taken care of, their knowledge of the Island, best places to eat, drink best beaches... and of course their Roof Top Patio great...

The island is small, with a beautiful clear beach. We felt really comfortable. It's a more laid back atmosphere. Great for couples who want to sight see, tour, or just a day at the beach. It's perfect!

I just returned from a wonderful trip to Isla Mujeres and admit that i am already planning my next trip back to Isla. As a solo traveler, i researched a bit before my vacation. One of the reasons i chose Hotel Las Palmas was due to the prompt, helpful responses via email with Kate- one of the owners of Hotel...

Being the front is bright and colourful that's the beginning of it. Once inside it's not like all other hotels out there this place is awesome. The best part for me is the rooftop patios and also where the kitchen is. I spent most my time on the rooftop and it has such great views even at night! I will...

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful trip to Isla Mujeres. It was our first time and we loved the food, culture, beach and hospitality at Hotel Las Palmas. The location is perfectly situated in the Centro part of the island with a short walk to everything you could ask for in a beach vacation. Safari and Scott...

Recently me and my girlfriend travelled to Isla Mujeres and stayed at this hotel. It was such a great experience. When we arrived we were greeted by the managers Safari and Scott, they were very kind and helped us get settled. Showing us around this very unique place they called home. I would have to say that the roof top...

This was hands down the best beach vacation we've had! The staff went above and beyond for us while we visited Isla Mujeres. They were extremely friendly, it had a very comforting vibe. The rooms were clean, and well taken care of and the maids along with the owners of the venue treated us with continuous kindness each day of...

Decided to add our first review ever after being a lurker on this site for some time. Our 15 days at hotel las palmas were the most relaxing enjoyable days of our lives. Kate and her helpers were more than great. We feel like we left our family there and we can't wait to be with them again. The rooftop...

We loved this place and had a fantastic time! Such a great, easy going atmosphere and you can't beat the location - a short, easy walk to the beach, across the street from the market, and steps away from tons of great restaurant options. We were a couple staying in a budget room. Some might consider this cozy, but it...

We stayed for a week in Room #1 which faces the street on the second floor. This room is nice because you can open windows on either side of the room for a nice cross breeze. The bed was comfortable pillow top. Good hot water in the shower. The best thing about this hotel is all the personal touches such...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Las Palmas is your home away from home on Isla Mujeres, tucked away from the hustle-bustle of Cancun. We are a family run hotel (three generations of women, mother-daughter and grand-daughter). Naturally, our place is a very unpretentious accommodation with a casual, friendly atmosphere. We have many comfy communal areas, including a rooftop with a plunge pool. You'll find lounge chairs, hammocks, and tables with chairs to welcome you after a day at the beach - possibly an afternoon siesta. Our communal kitchen is also on the terrace and fully equipped. Our shaded deck on our second level, overlooking the street and is a great spot for people watching or reading a good book.We are located in the heart of the downtown. The beautiful turquoise of the Caribbean and powdery sand beach at Playa Norte are a block away (5 min walk). Just around the corner is Hidalgo Avenue, filled with cuisine from all over the world, live music, and friendly locals and tourists alike. We're directly across from the municipal market with four "loncheria" eating stalls, housing tasty, economical breakfast-lunch meals, as well as fresh squeezed juices. We have a hotel dog, Cachito (hypoallergenic, rasta-hair poodle) who is always ready for a stroll. ... more   less
