My husband and I just returned from our third visit to Casa Sirena in as many years. This time we went for Christmas, and it just may be our new tradition. As on all of our visits, the breakfasts were delicious, the rooftop happy hour margaritas were in sync with the sunset view, and the room was appointed with our...

Christmas is a special holiday at Casa Sirena. My family trades the snowy white tundra of Minnesota for the sandy white beaches of Mexico, bringing along the holiday treats of my Norwegian-American heritage to share with the guests. The annual "Candlelight Christmas Eve" open house at Casa Sirena has become a new family tradition over the past 11 years. We're...

We went to Casa Sirena because of a recommendation from friends.(stayed for 10 days Dec 2016). Our expectations were exceeded in all areas. Steve has managed to make his Casa feel like home, while at the same time it feels like you are in a 5star hotel. The housekeeping staff are top notch. Our room (actually, the entire hotel) was...

I grew up in a 1950's family where my mother would have dinner on the stove and a couple of happy hour dry brandy Manhattans ready when my father arrived home from work. And of course, Shirley Temples with bright red long-stem cherries for my sister and me! The tradition continues at Casa Sirena, where a couple of happy hour...

All the 5 star reviews Steve the owner has earned are well deserved. Location is great -5 min walk to the ferry and 1 block from the beginning of town. The rooms are immaculate and spacious. What I really noticed is the attention to small details. We arrived hot and tired and Steve immediately greeted us with cold face towels...

Thanks for the wonderful review! Opening a small hotel on a tropical island has been the adventure of a lifetime, and all of the staff delight in providing great service and gracious hospitality to our guests.

Ah, what's not to love about this little hidden gem on Isla Mujeres, our favorite place in the world. After several visits, Steve, the innkeeper, has become a good friend (he even ran to the ferry as we were leaving because I forgot my Kindle...now THAT is service). He is always a knowledgeable host with the best new hot "finds"...

Full disclosure: I briefly considered holding your Kindle hostage until you return for your ninth visit... One of the most unexpected benefits of becoming an Innkeeper over 10 years ago is the number of guests who have become friends!

We've been to Isla quite often, staying here and there on the island, but this is the first time we've stayed at Casa Sirena, boy, what a delight! Steve the owner doesn't miss a beat. I mean he's the travelers dream. Our room had everything we could ask for. Even down to emergency candles and a lighter in the bedside...

I came to Isla Mujeres many times before deciding to make it my home. Discovering the abandoned old mansion on a quiet residential street in the heart of an authentic Mexican community that became Casa Sirena Hotel was a dream come true. I am delighted you enjoyed visiting my little "island oasis" in Mexico, and hope you can return to...

Don't think twice about staying here. It's a lovely, well maintained boutique hotel/ B and B. It's full of charm, guests are lovely, Steve and company are very hospitable, breakfasts are gorgeous and the location really can't be beat! The "Island of Women" is a wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion. We are delighted you chose Casa Sirena, and look forward to seeing you again. And next time, we will hope for a little operatic entertainment at happy hour !

I searched online for weeks for the perfect place to stay for my 40th birthday trip. When I saw the photos on the Casa Sirena website, I felt that THIS was it! I was a little worried about it not being ON the beach, but honestly, when I got there, I realized that the less than 10 minute walk to...

We love celebrating special occasions at Casa Sirena, and are delighted you had a "feliz cumpleanos" on Isla Mujeres! Our common-table breakfast service and cozy rooftop bar encourage interaction among the guests, and friendships form that often last long after the return flight home. We are working on the WiFi reception (a formidable task in this 100-year-old cement and stone...

We've been coming to Casa Sirena for many years now. It really is like a second home now. Familiar, comforting, and good for the soul. We walk in that front door, and the stresses of home just seem to fade away. Steven is not just our inn keeper, but a friend who we're always so happy to re-connect with upon...

Casa Sirena opened 10 years ago, and one of the unanticipated joys of becoming an Innkeeper is the number of guests who have become friends over years of visiting this special little island. At times the bar at happy hour seems like an episode of "Cheers", where everybody knows your name...

The December holiday season is my favorite time of the year in Mexico. Ornaments hang from palm trees in the garden, garland and twinkling lights deck the halls, and our gilded angle makes her annual appearance on the dining room table. One night each year, we open our doors to the public for a traditional Candlelight Christmas Eve celebration (with...

Read about the amazing rooftop happy hour at Casa Sirena in a Rough Guide. Thinking they had a bar up there we decided to check it out.
