This was our second stay at this hotel. For the price, it was a decent hotel. We paid $70 a night including taxes for a family of four. We got a room on the second floor. It was a colonial style hotel with a courtyard in the middle. The rooms were dark but worked for us as we all stayed...

We stayed 7 weeks in The Caribe. Last year we stayed 5 weeks. Next year we hope to stay 12 weeks--Same Hotel each year. The entire hotel experience at The Caribe is great. We have been 100% satisfied each visit-- with all our friends at the hotel. Rosie, Martin and all personel on the front desk were wonderful. We would...

dark, dingy tiny rooms! Central downtown location and that's the only positive thing you can say about the place. Food was dreadful and towels were threadbare. The a/c had two temperatures...off or freezing.

We had five nights at this hotel which were serviceable for our needs to explore the Yucatan. The sixth night was downright scary. We were on the third floor for the duration, this floor has the pool at the top of the open courtyard. Starting in the afternoon the third floor began to be inhabited by young men intent on...

Great location very near main square. Old hotel with lovely garden and fountains in courtyard as well as a small rooftop pool. Rooms vary between beautiful views over square and dark rooms at back. But rooms were generally clean and bathrooms although old worked well.

There's a reason why the website doesn't show the rooms, they are uninhabitable. I had booked for a week and left after the first night (lost my prepaid booking). The room was extremely small and dark, the bed sheet was stained, the air conditioning only had one temperature setting making the room too cold to sleep, the window shades could...

We enjoyed our stay there. It is not a luxury, but the kind of hotel I like. Its down to earth, friendly, and has a lot of character. It is VERY close to the main plaza, and has a great little place to eat just outside its doors. The top level has a great little pool and a beautiful view.

This hotel is in a fantastic location. It is right in the heart of Merida and as such is a good base for a trip to this city. It is not exactly luxurious! The rooms are very very basic and look like they are part of a 1970s sitcom. The bedspreads are like going back to your child hood! The...
