It's an OK hotel in a good location. Common areas are nice. Nice pool. Ok breakfast. But rooms are rather basic. They look much better on the pictures on the hotel website than they really are. It's nice to have the free internet access. They now have 2 computers in the lobby.

I'm a return guest at this hotel, for everything it has to offer. The staff is friendly, and accessable. It has parking, not common in downtown Merida. The included breakfast is served in beautiful surroundings, either the pleasant courtyard, or air-conditioned comfort. It was complete, from eggs cooked to order, to fresh fruits and bakery offerings. The pool was clean,...

This is a very basic hotel, no luxuries... although the location is very very good, right in front of a small plaza, and there is music at night. Great ambiance. The hotel rooms are very very bare, you only get the essentials, but it does have air conditioning, which is essential! The breakfast is included in the fee and you...

We have stayed at Maison Lafite twice in the past 18 months. Each time we stayed for four nights. We have found it to be a very pleasant experience. The hotel is located close to the the city center. The rooms are air conditioned and quiet. There is wide variety of guests, and it is pleasant to sit by the...

We recently took our third trip to Merida. Our favorite place, Luz en Yucatan, was fully booked for a couple of the nights that we would be there, so we reserved a room at the nearby Maisson Lafitte. Although Luz remains our favorite, we were very satisfied with Lafitte. The price was fairly reasonable, our room was clean and attractive...

Basic accomodation with excellent location. Nothing fancy here, but the court yard is very pretty and private, and when you step out your door you are walking distance to everything. The rooms are clean with good beds and everything to meet your needs. We arrived in time for the Carnival parades, and the hotel had paid for our front row...

This was a very nice place to stay. The staff were helpful; accommodations were clean, quiet and had character; breakfast was included; parking was included and the location is excellent - about two blocks from Plaza Major. City: Beautiful colonial city Warning: 1. Do NOT buy Tequilla from a store downtown. The sealed bottle we bought was not only overpriced, but...

A decent hotel, centrally situated (which implies some noise for rooms facing the street), friendly service, smallish pool and interior yard, but not excellent. I believe you might get better in Merida for the price, the Casa de Balam is just one block away and looks much more comfortable.

Friendly and attentive staff, nice common areas (pool, lobby, breakfast area). Free internet access (first 30 minutes free, but I never saw them enforcing it strictly). Good breakfast too, especially pleasant with the live music. Minibar in room, which you can use to store your own stuff that may need to be refrigerated. We had booked 3 nights but ended...

The only negative is that there are no elevators. A 4th floor rooms means climbing up and down eight flights of stairs. Staff is very friendly and up on their English. Good location. Everything good ...BUT - no elevators!
