We stayed in the Tekit room with AC, ceiling fan, and king size bed. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Lovely breakfast included. Great little plunge pool on the roof deck too. The hotelier, Alex, gave us helpful sightseeing info and entertained us with stories about Mexico expat living. Would stay again.

I knew that my husband and I would love staying at the Julamis because, even before we left Atlanta, Ga., we knew that we would love the hotel. The owners, Alex and Mary answered every e-mail fully and very quickly. Straightforward and no nonsense. When we got there, we met the "gentle giant." Alex is kind, caring, gracious and extremely...

This is my 4th stay at Hotel Julamis and I was once again overwhelmed by the charm and beauty of the property, the warmth and kindness of the owner, who was there to greet us personally when we arrived after several airline delays at 4 AM and the FIOD ... Breakfasts are to die for ...did I mention that the...

My sister and I just returned from a lovely week-long stay at Hotel Julamis. This hotel was perfect; it had everything we needed and was close to everywhere we wanted to go. Our second-floor room was beautiful! We met so many lovely people during our stay, which was facilitated by breakfast in the courtyard every morning and tequila happy hour...

I have visited Hotel Julamis many times now and do not have a reason to go anywhere else. Chef Alex and his wife Mary are so wonderful and hospitable that it is hard not to consider them great friends. They greeted me with some champagne to celebrate my belated birthday. It is the best place from which to get to...

We spent 2 nights in the Julamis Hotel as part of a road trip through Yucatan. The multilingual Alex welcomed us very warmly in German (very refreshing after trying to communicate with some Mexicans in English - and partly failing ;) ) and showed us to our simple but airconditioned room. Not only did we get a fridge full of...

We stayed here last June at the start and end of an 8-day vacation. The hotel is charming and comfortable, very conveniently located and very safe. Alex is simply the best -- incredibly helpful, generous, fun, and caring. We want him to come visit us in the Bay Area! He made us amazing breakfasts, answered every question we had, and...

I spent five nights at the lovely hotel Julamis. I made advanced reservations through e-mail and my inquiries were answered promptly. I was able to pay my deposit in advance and then paid the remainder in cash at the property. Note, they do not take credit cards. After arriving at Merida airport I took the ADO taxi to Hotel Julamis....

Alex is a terrific host and very, very helpful. Book this hotel and you will be glad you did! Great breakfast and B&B type atmosphere! Merida is a beautiful city and this hotel is a great choice if you like smaller more intimate settings.
