Really a lovely place, all the history and charm that you look for in Merida with tile work and open hallways with up to date bathrooms, kitchen, and furnishings.... Located directly in the center of everything and only about three blocks from Paseo de Montejo walking was so easy but if you choose a cab only about 25-50 pesos anywhere...

The hotel is centrally located 6 blocks from the main square. From the outside Julamis doesn´t say much. Even the small entrance lobby has little character. But once you see the patio and the rooms you feel it was worth it. Rooms are very simple and clean. Good bed, and no TV (a blessing !). Our room included a private...

We just stay at Hotel Julamis for two nights in November 2011. Wow, what an experience! We were welcomed by the owners Mel and Arid who were just perfect hosts. Super-friendly, caring and kind....what else can you expect? The hotel itself is actually a nicely refurbished old house in the old city center of Merida, about 5 minutes walk from...

We arrived late after a 4 1/2 hr bus ride from Playa del Carmen but there was Mel with a smile on and a warm welcome to show us around and our room. Lovely 2nd floor room with high ceilings and a king bed with adjoining bathroom and shower. But best of all a private rooftop patio and cold beer...

Hotel Julamis is beautifully decorated and has a relaxing atmosphere. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, and the beers in the fridge were a great touch! The breakfast served in the pretty courtyard was really good, and set us up for the day. Mel and Erid were lovely, really helpful and very informative.

What a find! Comfortable, friendly, convenient location. My room was clean, bright, and spacious. The free beers & sodas in the mini-fridge were happily enjoyed on my private terrace! Breakfast in the courtyard was always tasty -- and Mel and Erid were fantastic hosts. Absolutely loved it.

Had a really great stay at Julamis. Mel and Erid were lovely - really friendly and helpful. The building is lovely, with some really nice details in the decor - some beautiful murals. The breakfast was great and a nice way to start the day in the sunny little courtyard! The room was spotless and the stocked fridge and wifi...

First of all, Thanks Mel, Erid and Lidia for making our stay so pleasant. After a long drive from Ek Balam, this petit hotel provided us with all the comforts our body and soul needed. Our room was large, beautiful, and quiet, not only that but room came with a fridge daily stocked with beers, drinking water and refreshments at...

After reading over 200 positive reviews for Hotel Julamis on tripadvisor, we decided this was the hotel for us. It proved to be even better than we expected. We have traveled extensively in Mexico and never been looked out for and taken care of like Mel and Erid did for us. The icing on the cake was being handed a...
