Being honest it is not the best Place to stay however if you are going on low season it could be habitable, because there is no too much people using toilets or showers and there is not too noice. about cleaning it is not too clean the comunal areas and the smell is weird, but the toilets are fine. The...

Playa del carmen is a very expensive area and when you pay the cheap price they ask, you are stupid to expect more from the hostel then what it is. We paid 200pesos for one night in a double private room. The family who runs the place is very friendly, you get hot showers, the location is very good. It...

OK, I will be honest, its very run down and not maintained. If you read all the reviews below, they are very accurate. The washrooms and kitchen facilities are not cleaned and there was no free breakfast as advertised when I stayed. BUT, here is the positive. Could be because I am a very "make the best of it" kinda...

Where to start with this disgusting hostel, just because it's a hostel does not mean that the place should be so nasty. We went during high season to the mayan riviera, and this was the cheapest place we could find, with good reason. There's 2 floors, the upstairs has the private rooms and the downstairs has the dorms. There's two...

Incredibly dirty, smelly and run down..... this hostel needs to be closed down now! All it has going for it is the location.

Let me started out by saying that I have travelled throughout South & Central America staying in a number of hostels. The Urban hostel has to be the worst I have ever stayed in. Dirty, noisy , and unfriendly. Stay away from this place.

I stayed in this hostel last year with my boyfriend. We booked two nights, but after the first sleepless night we decided to leave, they could keep the money we already paid! First of all the place is dark and rooms are small and very noisy, you can hear what everyone else in the hostel is up to. Second, and...

I was travelling for a hole year for all south america, Brasil, Uruguay, Argentina, Bolivia, Perú, Ecuador and Mexico. As everyone can imagine from all this countries, you can expect anything. I stayed in all kind of hostels, but never like this one. I arrived at night, so i couldn´t see how horrible is this place. The first feeling when...

Me and my friend decided to stay at this place cause some people who had booked it in advance wanted to stay there. It wasn´t until we had payed that we realised how horrible it was, i do not think the rooms ever got cleaned. they do not provide you with fresh bedsheets and the ones in the room haven´t...

Stayed at this hostel with a friend after a long trip round most of southern Mexico. We barely got any sleep due to revellers in the common room area partying until 4am on both of the nights we slept there. This was after we'd been assured by reception that they enforced silence after 11pm. Granted the first night was a...

“Get a private room, and if it rains, just make sure you put your backpack on the other side of the room. There is an upstairs terrace, and hang out up there. Its nicer than hanging out in the actual hostel. Hang out upstairs on the terrace, and you will survive. I took this photo of my room (the red blankets are my own bedding). BRING OWN BEDDING.”
