This hotel was just perfect for what we needed: a cheap, friendly place that was plain and simple. If you go on vacation to be out sightseeing, and really just need a clean bed to crash in, this is where to go. However if you have princess needs and spend all your time in the room, keep looking. It's about... More

Clean, secure hotel, two minutes from the beach. Caters to a lot of scuba divers from around the world. Bar has good non Mexican food and closes early to keep the noise levels down its also closed on weekends. Maid service is daily. Nice court yard with plenty of places to hang out and drink or surf the net. Beds... More

This hotel offers very good value for money. Buck for buck it is very good. Plus points Price!! Hard to beat. Clean rooms maintained by good maid service. Showers pretty good and spacious. Beds are comfortable also. Good security. Downside Noise. Bar is very noisy, full of bar flies who don't stay at hotel! Noise begins around 4.30 PM and... More

I stayed at Mom's Hotel for one night and changed hotel the day after. The room we had was not clean. We were on the second floor, room 14. There were dead bugs on the floor and the bathroom needed a good clean up. We got there late at night so we stayed for the night and looked for another... More

Mom's hotel is appealing enough from the street view but the rooms are very dark and dank. Our room was located on the first floor of the three story hotel and no natural light came in at all. The handful of rooms that face the courtyard may be better but the whole hotel was in need of a serious scrub... More

What impressed me was the atmosphere, more than anything. Maybe I was lucky with respect to who was staying here and that factor has left me with a wonderful memory of my time here. This place is very good value and the rooms and facilities in general are pretty good for the money. I slept well and felt safe staying... More

For bargain hunters this was a great little hotel. It is a few blocks from the beach and is not fancy. But the rooms (and bathrooms) were very clean and secure. The hotel had a very small pool, not really for swimming but you could cool off. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a book library. If... More

I stayed at Mom's several times, most recently in October '05. It was wonderful, a great deal for the price. The rooms are clean and functional, location great (3 blocks from the beach), the pool small but clean, but best of all is the staff. I've travelled and lived in old Mexico for many years and the staff are the... More

Just returned on 3 Feb from ten days at Mom's. A quaint Mexican hotel. You get what you pay for and rooms at this hotel cost well below other hotels in the area. Beds were comfortable, sheets and towels clean every day. Our air conditioner had some questionable wiring, but since we only needed the ceiling fan we didn't use... More

Mom´s sounded like an inviting place, but it was one of the most disappointing experiences I´ve had at a hotel. The beds smelled like mold. I think they tried to cover the smell with harsh cleaners, which almost made it worse. The bathroom also smelled like sewage. The room was damp and the air conditioner was loud and didn´t work...
