Awesome place and a perfect location, close to 5ta Avenida, Playa Mamitas and the ferry terminal to Cozumel. David, the owner, couldn't have been a better host! I'll definitely stay at Green Monkey Hostel again, and I recommend it to everyone. Thanks for everything, David!!

Excellent hostel with great location, the hostel manager called David a very sweet boy. Hostel staff very nice and always help when needed. The hostel is in the center of the mat-ters near the main street called "Avenue". Walking distance to everything. Is recommended highly!!

We liked the location, few blocks away from Playa mamitas, one to the Quinta avenida, and far enough of the clubs so we could get some sleep. Don't worry, they're walking distance as well. We stayed in the private dorm upstairs with a queen size bed and one twin size... The room was spacious and clean, so was the bathroom!...

I arrived to the hostel and stayed for two nights. The dorm room I stayed in was not clean, the sheets were falling apart and the beds were extremely uncomfortable. The staff was not very helpful and the hostel was dirty, especially the bathrooms. I would not recommend staying here.

They claim to be a HOSTEL. Of course you don't expect luxury when staying at a hostel, but at least some basic stuff like water for showering should be normal. Of course there can be a shortage, of course there can be incidents, but the way they communicated this to us (zero communication) in the first place and then told...

What a cool and relaxed place to stay in Playa! The staff was fun and friendly, the food was delicious, and the local musicians that frequent the hostel fill the courtyard with beautiful music and good vibes. The staff works constantly to ensure the place is kept looking and smelling fresh. It sits on a fairly quiet street one block...

I strongly recommend this hostel. Itl is perfectly located 5 min away from the beach and one block from the main tourist avenue in a quiet street. The dorms were really affordable. What is most striking is this hostel is the nice relaxed atmosphere. The staff is extremely welcoming and will always be there to help. You can ask David...

“If you are with friends and want to sleep in the dorms, thats probably better. Just keep in mind, they occasionally (quite often) do not have any water for the toilet or shower. They say they hand everyone buckets for water and toilet, but they didn't.”
