Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
Hotel Xcaret Arte garners praise for its stunning decor and engaging atmosphere, with many guests enamored by its unique charm and cultural events. The resort's location and amenities, including diverse pools and exceptional food, are popular, although there is room for improvement in on-site guidance and beach access. While rooms are generally comfortable and well-received, some guests have called out service issues and cleanliness problems. The staff's professionalism and attentive nature receive high marks, as does the overall cleanliness of the property. However, opinions on value are divided, with some guests highlighting unexpected charges and sales pressure.

The resort is beyond beautiful!! Usually pictures online tend to be exaggerated but what you see is EXACTLY what you will get! It was almost at full capacity when we went and it certainly did not feel like it. You do not feel like you are in a cookie cutter resort. There is so much greenery that it is almost like the buildings were dropped in the middle of a jungle and paths were made around. You never had to fight for loungers at the pool, even the premium seating would still be free at 10am! The great thing about this resort is the staff! They all go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible. A special shout out to Karla and Dorian, our concierges during our stay. Anytime we needed help with something, we would get assistance almost immediately! You will have access to the Xcaret parks at no charge with a bus going to each of them every 20 mins. You literally have all your vacation excursions included with your stay! My only negative for the resort is that it is so huge with so much greenery, you can easily get lost. There is a map on a mobile app for the resort but it did not work for us. It would be nice to have directories around the resort with a "you are here" and show you the paths to take to get to where you need to go. We will most definitely come back here again!

Hotel's Favourite
Travelled as a couple Feb 6-13/23. We have always been Sandals/Beaches people but this resort looked too good to pass up. This resort will not have the activities you find at a Sandals property- snorkeling, pool trivia, volleyball, corn hole etc but you will not be bored here. We were blown away by the level of service, the resort itself and all the parks we visited. The airport shuttle is easy to find and took us about 1 & 1/4 hour to the resort and on the way back was 2 hours door to door to terminal 3. We stayed 7 days in Artistas building to give us access to Mexico restaurants. For us, the extra was definitely worth it as Fuego and Las Cuevas were favorites. We had Lorena and Brenda as butlers and they were very good, professional and helped us a lot. They decorated our room for my husbands birthday and left some treats for us too. We will request them on our next trip for sure. We mainly booked this resort for the included parks- we did Xenotes, Xavage, Xenses, Xplor Fuego and Xcaret. I will do this review as a hotel review and will do a separate review on our park adventures. Even without the parks, I believe we would not have been disappointed as the resort is out of this world. I did a lot of research before booking; YouTube, joined Facebook fan page etc, but the videos and pictures just do not do this resort justice. Resort: The resort is so beautiful and organic- even sitting in the rooftop pools, you are overlooking other rooftops that are gardens. The attention to detail is amazing-every aspect is thoughtful and beautiful. The art, the scents, the people are above and beyond. All employees we interacted with were warm, friendly and very helpful. All signature or hand crafted cocktails are so very good- not mass produced- and beautifully presented every time. I believe that we were very close to full capacity but at no time did it feel crowded at the pools, beach or restaurants. We loved the fact that there is no saving loungers at the pool or beach. They have attendants who will get you a seat. There was never a time that we couldn’t find someplace to sit at any pools or the beach/lagoon. The ocean was rough for most of our stay so we didn’t get in there but swam in the lagoon a lot. Look for and use all the Xelfie spots - it’s fun to scroll through pictures on your room TV - we bought a 3 park package which included all the resort pictures. Arrival day, we went to Fuego on Mexico side. Hugo was our waiter and he set the bar very high. He was so helpful explaining dishes and drinks- one of our favorite meals. Day 2: Xenotes tour. Did Kibi Kibi for breakfast and although it was good we realized we prefer more traditional breakfast so we did Cayuco every other morning. Went to Las Cuevas for supper that night. Marco was our waiter and very nice. It’s a buffet with the meat that comes to your table on a skewer. It was very good. Day 3: spent the morning touring the resort. Kayaked in the lagoon- very fun and has Xelfie spots. Had lunch at Artistas rooftop pool - excellent food all around. We found that this pool did not have a lot of shade so it wasn’t the best for for us. We went to Xcaret park for a few hours in the afternoon. We did Kibi Kibi for supper and again realized it was just not to our taste. Day 4: Xavage is an all day tour- back for supper. Went for a drink at the Tiki bar - Ivan makes wonderful Tiki drinks and is very friendly. Went to Tah-Xido for supper -Carlos was our server and very good and Enyermo was our chef and is hilarious. The food and drinks were delicious. Day 5: Xenses in the morning and Xplor Fuego at night. Afternoon spent at the Artistas rooftop pool with lunch- again excellent food. Spent some time at the Disenio rooftop pool and I will have to say that I did prefer it because of the shade there. The attendants are so helpful and accommodating. The food at this rooftop is excellent as well. Went to the Espectacular show at Xcaret park that evening- it is a must see- very well done. Found the speakeasy that night and went for drinks and of course tacos. Day 6: Las Cuevas for Sunday brunch- it is worth all the hype. It is overwhelming at times but so magical and the food is of course delicious. Spent the day pool hopping until Super Bowl time. Went to the vegan restaurant-Appapachio for supper with a friend and Daniel was wonderful explain all the delicious food and drinks. I don’t think I could pick a favorite restaurant - the food was better than I expected. I do not have an adventurous palate and that may be why I didn’t like Kibi Kibi but all other options we tried were fantastic. There is a lot of the resort we didn’t get to see since we spent so much time off doing tours. I feel that 7 days is not enough if you are doing a lot of tours. Oh well, I will just have to go back. Shout outs for great service: Lorena and Brenda our butlers All housekeeping staff were friendly and efficient Hugo at Fuego Ivan at the Tiki bar Enyermo and Carlos at Tah-Xido Rachel server at the lagoon Daniel at Appapachio All the servers at Cayuco- went 6 mornings and service is top notch. I have forgotten the names of the servers/attendants at the Artistas and Diseneo pools but they were all excellent. I am sure I am missing something - it was truly wonderful and now is officially our favorite resort.

Hotel Xcaret Arte was such a beautiful hotel! I celebrated my birthday at this hotel with my boyfriend and all we can say is just WOW! The staff were such great humble people, very caring who truly wanted you to feel “en casa” or at home! We want to give a special thank you to Alberto and Luis at the rooftop pool for being so caring and attentive to our needs. As well as surprising me on my birthday with a beautiful floater with birthday decorations and singing happy birthday. We also want to say thank you to Carlos one of the waiters at Cayuco restaurant for his caring attention to us. We honestly went to that restaurant almost every night not only for the food but also for his company and amazing service! The paddle boarding staff as well sent a beautiful floater for my birthday as well! From the bottom of our hearts we thank all of you for the special week we had with you and we hope to come back soon in the future to hopefully see you again! - Ashley and Luis

Our experience at Xcaret Arte was outstanding. We went for our minimoon right after our wedding - somewhere we wanted to go and relax and getaway from all the busy wedding planning. Our top priority when booking was GOOD FOOD. Little did we know when booking how amazing this resort was going to be. Everything from the staff, to the nature and its beauty around the resort, to the restaurants have been a dream. Some highlights… Rooftop Musica: Ebner and Adriana took amazing care of us! We stayed in a covered cabana (essential with this hot sun!) during our pool days and they made our trip feel very special. They brought us special honeymoon treats and a spa experience poolside. The DJ at the pool sets such a great vibe and we had so much fun during our relaxing days!! Food - Xaak: if you are thinking about adding the tasting experience at Xaak to your trip - DO IT! It was SO delicious and such an elevated dining experience. The courses were carefully thought out and really different. I’m writing home about this one. Food - Apopachoa: the vegan restaurant Apopachoa is very good! We had breakfast and dinner here all in one day. The entire staff - especially Daniel, is so warm and caring. I loved the hand washing ritual before the meals, and the vegan arancini and lasagna were so good! Food - Arenal: get the octopus and request to sit beachside. 10/10. Maybe the best octopus I’ve ever had. No reservation required. Excursions: we planned for Xenotes and Chichén Itzá. Both were perfect for our trip and worth it! Chichén Itzá is a long drive (around 3 hours) but when else are you going to see this 7th wonder of the world?! We even got back in time to eat at Arenal (for the second time). And Martin led our Xenotes excursion and had AMAZING energy. It was a bit chilly so pack an extra towel and make sure you bring a full change of dry clothes! Such an awesome adventure. Book your trip. Don’t think twice. Stay long enough and try not to pack too much in so you can enjoy everything the resort has to offer. Enjoy!!!

I recently came back from the resort with my girlfriends and we had a blast. Each year we plan on traveling to a new place, but we all agreed we’d like to visit here again. There is so much to do and four nights just wasn’t enough. The service was excellent and the food and drink were amazing, given this is an all-inclusive. A couple of pain points. The lack of night life There really isn’t anywhere to go and have a drink at the end of the night other than one restaurant and the speakeasy. Both are LOUD and not very relaxing. While Cayuco restaurant was very good, the wait times were long. I was told there were 30 groups in front of ours, so I tried to go back to my room and shower after a long day at Xcaret park. The hostess said we had to wait there or we could not be on the wait list, even though we had 30 parties ahead of us.

Hotel Xcaret Arte was the best vacation me and my fiancé have ever taken. We stayed for a total of 8 days and had fun each day. The room was fantastic, room service was amazing, all the parks exceeded expectation, and the customer service was 5 stars. Salvador at Mercado was amazing and made us feel welcome everyday. Susibel and Yahir were super nice at the pools. Paulina was an amazing guide on our Xenotes tour and Esmeralda took beautiful pictures. Diego was an amazing host at Encanta. Heriberto, Irving, and Victor made our night at Cantina VI.AI.PI amazing. Carla at Arenal was very nice and helpful. And lastly David, who delivered our last day room service was fantastic. And most of all Teresa Plascencia emailed with me for weeks setting everything up and helped tremendously. Just off of the customer service and friendliness alone, we are already planning our next trip. Highly Recommend!

This resort is visually stunning, has great service and wonderful food. Paloma and the pool crew at Casa Artistas took incredible care of my wife and I as we enjoyed the first vacation in a long time. Countless little touches that made every day we spent with them special. Dreaming (and saving) to do this again!
