Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Pretty good place overall. Great food, great staff, very helpful about everything and it is located really close to the main avenues. A bit expensive but it's a win win if you need a good place to leave your bags. One thing I will say is that I needed to do laundry, and it's not very clear in advance how to do it, and it will take time (~24 hours). Keep that in mind. Also, for some reason the TV won't connect to the internet... oh well, why would you need TV in Playa anyway?

I visited Panama Jack back in March of 2021. The resort was clean and beautiful! The rooms were even better. Very unique spacious and clean! The food was great. Staff was friendly. This resort is in the heart of the downtown area. Lots to do. Lots of entertainment directly outside of the resort.

I can't tell you how impressed my husband and I were with the employees at Panama Jack Resort. They work so hard!!! The people who served us were amazing! The "Captain" was amazing! So kind and patient. I wish I could remember all their names. We actually were there on about Feb 2021!!!!! Go and spend time with them. This is a GORGEOUS resort. Our room was beautiful.

3th visit here, 3rd renovation of hotel change-over I have had to endure BUT the good part is the service, staff, cleanliness and warmth this hotel provides. To the staff…..thank-you, thank-you. Anayelli and all staff at the front desk bent over backwards to accommodate every request. Aaron at arrival, thank-you for everything Miguel at the quiet bar, so professional and (Erika?) thank-you for remembering me. Hola Victor in maintenance. Room service and fridge service was perfect. Jesus and Jose serving the pool, you guys are so much fun, Adal.. excellent service. Gloria in Discovera, thank you for being so helpful. Breakfast in the mornings with Oscar and Sebastian were so much fun I will always sit in your section on my return visits. Dinners at Bella…OMG, the food is delicious, I just kept going back. Norberto it was a pleasure talking to you every time I saw you it was so entertaining. Miguel Morales so very happy to see you back there, thank you from my heart for making my trip so special. Forgive me to anyone I forgot, each and every one of you are wonderful. Wyndham Alltra I pray you can get the Govt. to help with a breaker in the ocean to save the beach and hotel. Also a new 24 hour room is needed,,and the pool bar open with music playing, Adults only need a set of stairs with a handrail into the pool as ladders are more for kids. Definitely a return trip is needed so I can enjoy the rest of what Panama Jacks has to offer! This great all-inclusive resort has multiple restaurants offering a variety of cuisines - including but not limited to: Asian (Chinese, Thai, Korean, and Middle Eastern), Italian, Traditinal Mexican flare, surf and turf, a sandwich grab-n-go spot, and the amazing breakfast daily! They also have side carts throughout the day offering tacos, hotdogs/hamburgers, nachos, etc.. ALL WERE scrumptious! There were daily activities but I opted to lounge on the beach all day! The drinks were lip-smacking good, and service throw out the resort was excellent! I gave Panama Jacks a 4-star only because we had a confrontation with another guest who smoked cigarettes right in front of us on the beach (not in the designated smoking spot like they should have) and it took the staff a minute to respond. Other than that, everything was great!
