We were debating whether to go to the Caribbean or Mexico to relax after a week of theme parks in Orlando and the Rosewood proved to be the perfect choice and we're already planning our return visit. Embedded in jungle, with a river running through it, the hotel has a spacious, peaceful and picturesque feel to it: I still miss...

Dear topant1, We are so pleased to know that we could provide you with relaxation and adventure after your week in Orlando! Over the course of 10 days, it sounds as though you had the time to explore much of our resort and Playa del Carmen. It is wonderful to know that, of the activities you tried on our grounds,...

Went to the Rosewood Mayakoba on February 2014 to elope with my honey. Working with the staff to plan the wedding was easy and flawless. The events coordinator was more than helpful in organizing photographer, minister, hairstylist and flowers for our wedding. The resort itself feels like you are so far away, in another exotic place, yet for us we...

We travel all over the world and stay in interesting places and luxury hotels....but this place topped them all in service. Read all the reviews...don't want to repeat all the details but if you want understated top level service in a high end property that is quietly elegant then this is the place to stay. Its far from the crowded...

If you are looking for absolute perfection, this is the place to visit. The only negative I can mention is when I left the hotel, I was very disappointed to have to go and they spoiled me for all other resorts. Yes, this hotel is pricey, but the experience that comes with it is absolutely priceless. From start to finish,...

From the moment we booked our vacation here to the time we left, we couldn't have felt more pampered and taken care of. The food was wonderful, and 'extras' like beer tasting were too fun! Our suite was GORGEOUS! We would highly recommend an over the lagoon suite!

Beautiful location, private villas on the river are amazing, there are pool and beach areas for adults, the staff is incredibly helpful (Johanna is amazing!), 10/10 would go back. Get a tour guide and go see the ruins, swim in the caves, and eat on the beach. Also, go to the garden dinner, it was delicious.

Dear Michael B, Thank you for reviewing your recent stay at Rosewood Mayakoba. Your recommendations of local excursions are invaluable, as we want our guests to explore the history and beautiful ecological features of Playa del Carmen. A dinner at La Ceiba, with herbs and vegetables grown on our grounds, should have given you quite the “taste” of Mexican cuisine....

Selfishly, I want to keep this resort to myself and special friends. However, Lutz (Director of F&B) and his staff members such as Pavel, and Jose Maria, have provided such exceptional service that I am obligated to write my first online review. Truly, this is the best vacation we have taken to date. You will not regret the decision to...

This is long overdue!! My husband and I visited this fantastic place last February 2014. What an amazing place. We've stayed in many luxurious hotels but this is one of the best. This hotel was simply spectacular from start to finish. I say its for the Top 1% because if you have to ask how much it will cost, you might leave with sticker shock from all the add ons. We stayed 7 nights at $535 USD/night but when you added a few excursions and meals - it was $12K USD for...

“We've only tried the deluxe overwater lagoon suite, but we'd do it again. The private deck, daybed, and plunge pool mean you can skip the beach if you want. It's almost too big for two people, but it's private and quiet and the master suite goes pitch black at night. I wish I had a way to recreate that sleep when I'm at home.”

“Make sure you meet your butler right away, and know how to get in touch with him/her. They are a big help during your stay. And like I said in my review, I liked the lagoon suite. Easy walk to the main part of the property, restaurants, spa and pools and a nice, quick bike ride to the beach. We enjoyed this option. Split our time evenly between pools and beach.”
