My initial response was to keep my experience secret... so that more people avoid discovering heaven... my body treatment with Carlos was life changing... and I want to keep it all to myself! I didn't stay at the hotel, but discovered it by stopping for lunch, meeting the awesome Sharday at the bar, touring the property and then signing up... More

I was a bit skeptical at first when I booked this hotel given the shared bathroom situation, but the experience was so much better than I expected! I enjoyed the simplicity of the hotel, I stayed in room #21 which was close enough to the bathroom and not too far from the beach. There was also a separate shower near... More

I usually do not post negative reviews, but I do think that it is necessary and will be helpful for people who are deciding where to stay in Tulum. Let me first state that Tulum is absolutely breathtaking, the beaches are great, the vibe chill and overall a wonderful place to vacation ,however stay somewhere other than Coco. We stayed here... We just spent a week at Coco Tulum. We stayed in one of the second floor ocean-view cabanas - an incredible view and constant lovely breeze. No need for a fan or air conditioner. We loved it! This is a special place - very mellow. The shared bathrooms are a non-issue - they were super clean and comfortable and afforded... More

We returned to Coco to find that it has been upgraded with slightly bigger bungalows, some as double deckers, a great little Italian restaurant / bar, more surf-front hammocks / loungers... but it retains it's great vibe. As two couples, we had Units 1 and 2 - a stacked bungalow in the best beachfront location at Coco. Prices have more... More

My three friends and I stayed here last week. Something went wrong with my online booking back in January but they didn't catch it until 48 hours before our trip. Olga was good about explaining the situation and coming up with a suitable alternative (essentially staying the first couple nights at the place next door and then moving over to... More

We had a cabana on the beach with shared bathrooms. Waking up with the sound of the waves and having your breakfast on a private beach terrasse has no price. It was amazing! Great beach, nice service, beautiful rooms. Overall we loved the eco-chic concept :)

This place is beautiful. We stayed in bungalow 9 (I think). I could here the waves as I slept. Its a small room, with mostly just a bed and weak lighting. The shared washrooms are (as other reviews mention) impeccably clean. The only nuisance is making the trek to the washroom every time you had to go. The restaurant has... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Coco Tulum Hotel is a boutique hotel at Tulum beach where you will find comfortable and stylish cabañas located a few steps from the ocean. Coco's restaurant, Juanita Diavola, churns out fresh pizzas from our brick oven and smoothies of fresh juices. The pasta is handmade in our kitchen, and the chef serves specialties like tuna and beef carpaccio. The relaxed ambience is perfect to sit with a glass of wine or meet some fellow travelers at the bar. Designed as an eco-village Hotel, we generate enough electricity to power all fans and low-wattage lights of the Hotel - much more would only contribute to the end of the world. Our two wind turbines and 24 solar panels generate more than 14,000 watts x day. ... more   less
