We had a cabana on the beach with shared bathrooms. Waking up with the sound of the waves and having your breakfast on a private beach terrasse has no price. It was amazing! Great beach, nice service, beautiful rooms. Overall we loved the eco-chic concept :)

This place is beautiful. We stayed in bungalow 9 (I think). I could here the waves as I slept. Its a small room, with mostly just a bed and weak lighting. The shared washrooms are (as other reviews mention) impeccably clean. The only nuisance is making the trek to the washroom every time you had to go. The restaurant has...

We stayed at Coco Tulum for 4 nights and loved it. We were in 15 which is one of the elevated huts with a sea view - definitely the right choice as we could see the sea and watch the sunrise from our bed. Rooms are simple, very clean, large bed and a patio. Shared bathrooms were extremely clean and...

We stayed at the Coco Tulum for 4 nights in Cabana 2 (2nd floor beachfront), which I think is the best room in the place. It has unobstructed beach views and it has a little extra privacy since it is elevated above ground level. We watched the sunrise every morning from our bed. The cabanas are simple and perfect. I...

So relaxing! Loved the location and simplicity of the cabanas. The location and relaxing environment overshadow any issues we had. We got hot at night so that was an issue, but the fan helped. The bed was fine - not great, but fine. Unfortunately the pillows we had were quite lumpy and uncomfortable. The beach was very walkable and the...

I would guess that the fact that my boyfriend and I chose to stay at this particular hotel for the second time in two years would probably say enough about how lovely this place is, but I feel compelled to share a bit more! Coco Tulum is lovely in its simplicity. The cabanas, although minimally furnished, are always kept incredibly...

It was like super upscale elegant camping. Cabanas on the sand, bright clean rooms, super friendly hard working staff. Great location, central to ALL there is to do in Tulum. The shared bathrooms are not an issue which I thought they would be. If I had to complain it would be that getting up for a potty in the middle...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Coco Tulum Hotel is a boutique hotel at Tulum beach where you will find comfortable and stylish cabañas located a few steps from the ocean. Coco's restaurant, Juanita Diavola, churns out fresh pizzas from our brick oven and smoothies of fresh juices. The pasta is handmade in our kitchen, and the chef serves specialties like tuna and beef carpaccio. The relaxed ambience is perfect to sit with a glass of wine or meet some fellow travelers at the bar. Designed as an eco-village Hotel, we generate enough electricity to power all fans and low-wattage lights of the Hotel - much more would only contribute to the end of the world. Our two wind turbines and 24 solar panels generate more than 14,000 watts x day. ... more   less
