This is our 2nd time in Tulum so we wanted to stay somewhere different and came across this place. I picked it for our group based on the Trip Advisor reviews and it did not disappoint.

We stayed at the Piedra Escondida in January 2018 and the experience was excellent. The food in the restaurant was delicious, service was exceptional and the hotel was maintained impeccably. Rooms, restaurant, beach and hotel grounds were clean and well maintained.

Yes. No worries. Last December we found a/c came on automatically around 8pm and went off around 8am. Electricity was fine 24/7, but not many power points in room so you might want to take a suitable two- or three-in-one adapter if you need to power or charge more than one item. Generally light bulbs gave out little more than glow worms.

I did not feel any safety concerns in Tulum. It was wonderful. The beach is enclosed with rocks on either side and the beaches along the stretch all seem to be private belonging to hotels. Hope this helps
