The Owner, Lu, needs to have a serious and crash course on Hospitality, or at least on social behavior. Even if we tried to cancel the reservation weeks in advance, after diligently paying for it, all that she said was "no refunds", which only completed an already exhausting series of exchanges were we kindly asked "what is included in the...

For all the most important factors - Retiro Maya is wonderful. GREAT location that is between the Si'an Kaan reserve and another section of the beach 'strip' that has some good restaurants and activity. A bike ride away from town and the Tulum ruins. The beachfront is beautiful and not rocky (as it is in front of some other resorts)....

We are two Airline Staff. Therefore, we really had the Chance to travel to the remotest places in the World. So we are familiar with such places and are able to compare. The Cabanas are perfectly located in front of one of the best beach spots in Tulum. The View is absolutely great. Sergio, who welcomed us, promised a great...

The place is amazing! Beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. The service is also on the high level – rooms are cleaned every day, fresh towels every two days. They also give beach towels, which is very comfortable. You will love their food!!! Sergio, the chief, is just amazing – every day he will try to surprise you with something new. And...

We travel Playa frequently and just returned from a one week stay at our vacation home in Playa del Carmen. We traveled with our extensive family and children this time and decided to go out and explore the Riviera Maya on this trip vs. lounging around by beaches and pools all week in Playa. I planned our itinerary before our...

Retiro Maya was the most amazing, beautiful, relaxing place I have ever been! We stayed for 5 nights during off season and it was perfect. The weather was still great, plenty of sunshine with bouts of rain here and there that really didn't interup the trip at all. Sergio, the host/chef has now become a great friend to us. Amazing...

I went for a yoga-meditation retreat in Retiro Maya. I just loved my stay. The service was excellent and the owner, Lu, made everything she could to make our stay enjoyable. I loved the cabanas on the beach and how the hotel set is respectful of the environment. I love it so much that I went there twice! Enjoy your...
