I just returned from an amazing 3-day weekend at La Selva Mariposa, and all of the amazing reviews here, as glowing as they are, can't quite capture how special the place truly is. I found myself using the word "magical" from the moment we drove onto the property, and it felt right during our whole stay. Moe and Lou have...

Hola. We were overwhelmed by your detailed review. This should have been part of our web site or trip advisor description. Thanks so much for mentioning so many things from the easy drive from Cancun to the roof top jacuzzi that was heated to just the right temperature. We love sharing our little oasis in the Mayan jungle with travelers...

We just returned from our trip to Mexico and we stayed at La Selva Mariposa for 5 nights. This place is not on the beach, it's about 12 miles in the "jungle" but on an extremely well paved road. If you want that jungle feeling but also want the beach it's a perfect solution. It takes no time to get...

Away from the tourist crowds yet close enough to drive to the beach, Tulum or Coba. Lourdes, Dylan, Juan and the rest of the staff are wonderful, friendly, kind and helpful. Breakfasts were delicious and our dietary requirements (non-gluten and non-dairy) were graciously accommodated. The grounds and rooms were beautiful and extremely well-maintained. We felt very well cared for. It...

What a wonderful place. Tucked behind a village in the jungle there is a tranquilo paradise. This is what we call a "clean" jungle, paths made of small rocks, raked carefully as the winds blew leaves around all day. The bird watching on the edge and out into the village was wonderful. I would've hired a guide but with a...

Our third visit to La Selva Mariposa, just as special as prior visits. We so appreciate the colorful, artistic setting Moe and Lou have created in their piece of the jungle, full of butterflies (really, though sometimes most visible from an upper story). They and all their staff are so warm and welcoming, it feels like coming home. Having been...
