What another great year. We were a little hesitant to go up this year due to covid, but after speaking to Tony and Melissa on the phone were assured that there were new precautions in place and booked for a few weeks out.
After arriving we were told that on the meal plan food would be prepared and delivered for breakfast, lunch and dinner to our own personal cabin. Once everything was sorted out we went in our own marked boat and headed to Wigwam (The second lake). Once parking the boat there is a specific wheelbarrow, and specific boat assigned to each cabin. When arriving on Wigwam we caught over 15 fish in the first 4 hours of fishing.
Coming back for dinner our food was wrapped and packaged properly, left in our fridge, along with various drinks and dessert. We also filled out our lunch sheet for sandwiches, along with other various snacks and drinks for the next week. They would pick the sheet up every day when dropping off either breakfast or dinner!
The next few days we explored the lakes, adventured as always and didn't have to worry about Covid due to the precautions of the lodge. They would fill our gas every morning, and sanitize the boat after. In total we caught over 150 fish between the two of us for the week, and were pleased with the quality, flavor, and portion size of the food as always.
Will be continuing to go up as long as we can! Thank you Tony and Melissa for running a great lodge, and always spoiling us while we are up there.

My brother-in-law and I took two of our grandsons (both 15) for 4 days in August 2021 to Lost Lake Wilderness Lodge. We got the full meal package, shared a cabin which had 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and living room area and satellite TV. Cabin was newer, very nice, comfortable, clean, all we could want.
The weather turned just before we arrived, so fishing was really slow, no one seemed to be catching much of anything those three full days of fishing. We did catch some bass, a few good size, rest smaller. Caught a few pike, nothing big. Didn’t fish Walleye or Trout.
Tony, Mellissa , Johnny, and other staff were exceptional!!
This lodge has great customer service, really care, are very friendly and helpful. Openly providing fishing tips and locations, always asking how we are, anything we need. The food is exceptional - breakfasts and dinners were fabulous, lots to eat. Each night, each guest hands in a page with the next day’s lunch request able to pick from a variety of options to take on the boat with you. Sandwiches were stuffed with meat and sauce (whatever you selected), very filling, multiple desserts, multiple drinks, just wonderful!
Could not recommend this more. Beautiful location. All boats were sturdy, easy to fish out of, motors always started easily and worked well. Everything about this was 10 out of 10! Thanks Tony and Mellissa and crew for a great experience for us and our grandsons.
And their prices on gear and clothing was far lower than I expected, as most places mark things up, not this location – really solid prices throughout.

I just returned from spending 4 days at Lost Lake Wilderness Lodge and can't say enough positive things about this place. It is truly a hidden gem. With Covid ruining most of this years travel plans -- myself, a buddy and his dog decided we wanted to get away for a few days to fish and we are so thankful we found this place.
Fishing: I would consider ourselves beginner fishers and this place had so much to offer for both beginner and advanced. There is 8 lakes in total , each lake bringing a different amazing atmosphere and with different types of fish in each. We were only able to get through 5 in the short time we stayed but we cant wait to get back to try out the rest. In our short time there we were landing big Pike, Bass, Walleye and Trout in the Trout late. What a blast! The more advanced fishers that were there before us were pulling out like 40 monsters a day!
Accommodations/Hospitality: WOW.... WOW... WOW. That is all I have to say. What sets this place far apart from any other cottage type place I have ever rented was the owners, Tony and Melissa. Genuine people who truly put their heart into the place and their only concern was making sure that you are having a good time and are happy and relaxed. The owners made changes with the meals due to covid and each day would drop off home cooked breakfast to your cabin at 8 am, home cooked dinner at your cabin at 6 pm.. and in addition to that you were able to put in a lunch order (sandwiches, cookies, poweraid, etc.) for the next day which they had pre-packed for you to take on your daily fishing trip. That was so amazing taking those out on the lake. The convenience of everything was unbelievable. They had it all planned out. Some of the dinners included BBQ Ribs, Ceasar Salad, Turkey Lasagna, Fish n Chips , not to mention the home made pies that Melissa made that were unreal. The food was delicious, and we couldn't wait to get back for it after long days of fishing.
We really felt that the owners were bending over backwards to make us feel right at home and relaxed. To give you an example : to get to the trout lake, it is about a 15 minute ride each way through the forest on a Sidewinder that Tony takes you in with your gear to the boat. Very cool ride and experience. When we arrived at the lake, I had all my fishing gear but realized I forgot my box of worms at the cottage. Tony would not take no for an answer in journeying all the way back to the cottage to grab the worms and come drop them off to us at the lake while we started fishing. This just shows the type of people that they are, really going over and above what they needed to.
My only regret was not staying enough days!! The entire ride home, we were planning on which week to book and head back! I plan on making this place a regular summer fishing excursion for years to come! Can't wait to bring my two kids when they are old enough!
Countdown until next time has begun!

We had the best time up at Lost Lake last week. I went up with my best friend’s son Ty, who is a fishing nut! We came from Windsor so the drive was about 9 hours give or take, because it was on a Saturday the traffic wasn’t bad at all.
We were greeted right away by Melisa (Owner). We settled up and went to our cottage for the week (Cottage #7). The cottage was well maintained, extremely clean (and I mean EXTREMELY CLEAN!) and perfect for the 2 of us. Tony (Owner) came by to go over the boats, lakes, baits, meals etc. Tony and Melissa are the best hosts you can ask for!! Both are very personable and take great pride in ownership.
When you go down to breakfast, Tony will ask where we were going to fish for the day and give you some spots and pointers. Fishing for the first couple days was slow, we just had a front move in but after getting to know the lakes we started catching fish. We fished 4 lakes (lost Lake, Bloom, Leta and Wigwam) while there catching tons of smallies and pike. We took the trip to Leta Lake where we caught 15 brook trout in just a few hours.
The boats are very well maintained and it was nice that the Lost Lake boats had push button starters. I had a shoulder surgery a few years ago and all the boats started up right away.
The portage paths are good. I had a knee replacement last June and I had no problem going through the bush paths to get to the other lakes.
We met some very cool people while there, we had a group from Michigan, Pennsylvania and 2 more groups from Ontario. Every day the dining room was full of conversation of the days fishing, baits, spots, etc. All the groups caught a lot of fish but I think the boys from Michigan out fished us all!
The staff are amazing people, Taylor and Chad worked their butts off for us and the rest of the groups to ensure we all had a great time. Taylor even made me chocolate cookies to take with me when leaving. Thanks to both of you!!
The food was terrific (American Plan). Tony is an excellent cook and all the meals were delicious! As were the deserts. Meals were planned out very well and never went away hungry.
I have only been back a couple days and already miss it. Ty and I are already planning the next trip up there. I highly recommend Lost Lake Wilderness Lodge not only for the fishing (which is awesome!) but the cottages, meals, camaraderie and the staff. We came in as strangers and left as friends with Tony, Melissa and staff!

Just returned from a wonderful five day stay at LLWL. It has been many years since we last visited LLWL. We enjoyed our times before Tony and Melissa took over but enjoyed our visit even more under the professional and attentive care of Tony and Melissa. We noticed that they have made many improvements. Our cabin was great, the meals were delicious with generous portions, as well the boats and motors were in tip top shape. We fished 5 of the pristine remote lakes along with Lost Lake itself. It was lovely to be the only ones out on the lakes - great scenery, great fishing. We caught pike, bass, pickerel and perch. Thank you Tony and Melissa - hope to visit again!

We had a great time on our 5-day trip! Fishing was excellent - even with a cold front coming through. We caught a lot of bass, pike and pickerel. There are many lakes to fish and frequently we were the only ones on a lake! The meal plan was great with big portions of good food delivered to your cabin at set times (due to COVID). They also provide all the things you need for a shore lunch if you are interested. The scenery on all the lakes is breathtaking and it is so quiet! The owners and staff bend over backwards to make sure you have everything you need. We would definitely go back. Be aware that there is no cell service in the area, but you can walk up to the lodge to use their wifi if you need it.

Lost lake ranks as our best fishing trip to date. Three of us stayed there for a week during Sept. of 2021 and we have already booked for Sept. 2022. What made the trip especially memorable was that it was a wilderness adventure and not just a fishing trip. We enjoyed portaging to several lakes, hiking to a brook trout lake and a drive in lake experience as well. Yes, the fishing was excellent as well! Every day John made sure we had some good tips for the best spots to try for each destination lake. The boats, bait, etc. were always checked and ready to go. Cabin was perfect for 3 men and the meals were enjoyed by all, especially the packed lunches for each day. This year we are looking forward to meals in the main lodge post-covid. The lodge owners are very welcoming and keep everything well organized and trouble free.

Our group spent a week fishing at Lost Lake last June . You could not ask for a better outfitter , Tony and Melissa have created a fantastic environment for the any size group to spend some time.
Our group got the meal plan and let me tell you these guys know how to cook a meal, every night was something different and delicious, and the deserts where incredible.
The fishing started out slow for us but the great think about this camp is that not only does Tony take the time to tell you where the hot spots on the lake are he makes sure that you are using the correct tackle and if you didn't bring it with you they have a great little tackle shop in the dining hall. Once we talked to him and some of the guests we started to catch a lot of the big smallies and walleye , I am not a big pike fisherman but the other guys in our group are and they had a blast catching them all week.
We enjoyed coming to Lost Lake Lodge so much we are returning agian this year and planning a bear hunt with them for the next year.

We just returned from a 3 night fishing excursion at Lost Lake Wilderness Lodge and we can't wait to get back there. Our cabin #7 was pristine with all of the amenities needed. Great fishing with lot's of stories we brought home. Our dock and boat were right outside of our cabin with ease of access and gas was filled up daily with fresh bait delivered whenever needed. The food was plentiful and delicious. You won't go hungry staying here that is for sure. Tony and Melissa (owners) went above and beyond with hospitality out of this world. The only thing we can recommend moving forward is to STAY LONGER.... we got to visit 3 of the lakes (that were filled with fish and amazing views) but we wish we stayed longer to experience the other lakes.

We had a great time at Lost Lake Wilderness Lodge! Service was fantastic, food was great and fish were biting. Will definitely head back.
The lodge is conveniently located on a lovely unspoiled lake, with additional access to many other lakes.

They have nice 16' Lund style boats,no trolling motors or fish finders on them.
I believe Tony and Melissa advised they own it now for about 8 years. The boats were in fine condition when we were there in September, 2018.
We are seasonal, open from May through September!
