Detailed Reviews
we stayed in Musgrave Hr. on the last night of our 3 night weekend (4 women). The beaches were beautiful! We stayed in a ground level suite at the Spindrift by the sea. The room was clean, a little dated but it was only an overnight stay. The beds were a double and a super single but we had everything we needed. The price was very reasonable! There is a restaurant on location and the food was good. They were understaffed (as most places in NL are this particular this year!) so you need to have patience. The lady was lovely and was doing her best to keep up. Spindrift is a great little place for your home base for sleeping and showering when exploring the surrounding areas.

All rooms have an ocean view. Super friendly staff. The motel is a 3 minute drive from a fabulous sandy beach and the restaurant also has an ocean view. We loved the pan fried cod and the desserts were excellent.

Have stayed at the Spindrift in Musgrave Harbour on several occasions now- the cabins are very clean and comfortable. The staff are helpful to a fault. The dining room, located in the motel, is second to none. The room is well appointed with lots of NL artwork. The food is all homemade. The fish and chips is absolutely the best. If you have any room left afterwards, the desserts are a real treat. Make the Spindrift a destination on your next trip to the Bonavista North area.

My hubby and I enjoyed our stay at the Spindrift Inn. It was phenomenal in all aspects. The rooms are spacious, bright and clean. Plus they are efficiency units that supports budget friendly travel. The on site restaurant serves fabulous freshly cooked food, all so tasty and traditional NL food....all 5*+ in flavour, servings and wait times. My husband loved the Roadhouse Burger....several times. 😁 I enjoyed the cod au gratin meal, the beautiful breakfasts, and the fish n chips is to die for.
The staff is the best of all of it. They are pleasant, friendly, accommodating and the best at their jobs. I'll be back!
BTW.....the sunsets are free but the view is priceless!

We stayed here for a couple of nights while exploring the Musgrave Harbour area. The Inn is under renovation so only one half was open. Our room was much more rustic than those shown on the website - wood paneling and a bit dreary and dated. It did seem clean and there was a new fridge and tv, and bathroom was nice. Wifi didn’t work. Guests checked in above us and we could hear every footstep and our lights flickered when they walked. The incredible view of the ocean was obscured by scaffolding. But it is an amazing location and we loved our walks behind the Inn along the beach. Hopefully the current renovations will improve things a bit.

We stayed here for one night and I'm glad it was only one. It didn't feel truly clean. The carpet felt gritty, there was some mystery drops on the heater, one of the main lights didn't work, the few channels on the TV were mostly full of static (not a big deal but still). The walls were paper thin and we could hear more than we really wanted from the couple next door. It also sounded like elephants above us. Outside our door was a big bucket for cigarette butts. People in other rooms seemed to think this corner was a good place to congregate and smoke and socialize. It was manageable for a night but would definitely look elsewhere next time.

A very friendly welcome on a cold stormy evening. Lovely room with a great view of the ocean and it was so cozy to be warm listening to the sounds of the ocean. We enjoyed our one night stay and would definitely stay here again.

Inn is being updated in off/seasons. Outside has been done and is great with decks and looks modern inside due to be done this winter we were told. Rooms are large with great view out to sea. Plenty of seating in room. The restaurant was good. We had dinner and breakfast and both were excellent.
Would recommend to anyone.

Stayed at cabins owned by Spindrift. Lovely, clean, well equipped. Close to a very beautiful beach. Cabin had two bedrooms, washer and dryer. Small functional kitchen. Double bed in each bedroom.

On May 26th 2018 my wife and I stayed at the 'Spindrift by the Sea' in Musgrave Harbour Newfoundland . The same number is listed for the Banting seaside cottage. We were booked in by Margaret. Unfortunately we left a small carry on in our room containing all our personal use items shaver, hair dryer, cosmetics, curling iron, extra meds, umbrella, etc. We tried repeatedly to contact the no. listed in the travel guide which we had booked on and left messages. To this date no one has got back to us. They did have our cell phone number when we booked in. We would not recommend any one stay there,as this is a sample of there honesty and integrity. Bill

We had a problem with trying to reach the owners on a forgotten suitcase we had left there. When we wrote up the review the owner did contact us the following day saying they never got the phone messages we sent. They did forward the suitcase to us in Vancouver at their expense. We appreciate that.
