Detailed Reviews
This is our most reliable 'Go To Place' every time we want to enjoy the Westen Cape - Cape Town. From the staff to the wonderful owner/s (Andrew & Tarryn) there is no regretting ALL THE TIME. Perfect environment, tranquil, with great sea views from the balcony just a step through the sliding door from the room/s. Breakfast never dissapoints and flexible as can be customised on request.

What an amazing place. Great views of muizenberg bay, staff were amazing and more then accommodating. Manager arranged for ride to and from airport for us. Breakfast was great, food fresh, coffee great and accommodating to different needs. Manager offered a late check out for us on the day we had to leave which we totally appreciated. Overall a great place to stay.

The best part is location - great view to the ocean. The house was nice with an interesting interior design. Rooms were spacious. If you are staying in a single room then you will have your bathroom not in your room but anyhow that will be only for you and you don't need to share with anyone. To get to the house you will need to to a little bit of exercising - there are 142 steps to climb but it can be done even with your suitcases. Breakfast is included - eggs with bacon and flakes, juice etc.

The views from the deck are amazing. But it's 99 steps from the street to the guest house. The breakfast cooked by Dee was lovely. there is a common kitchen if you'd like to cook your own meals. one caveat: when booking, i advised that we would arrive between 16:00 to 17:00. However, no one was at the guest house to let us in until about 16:30. Why ask guests when they will arrive if you're not there at the stated time? But the room was nice, and worth the trouble.

I am so glad you enjoyed the view! Sorry that nobody was here to welcome you. We have to dash to the shops to restock, but we do try to work around our guests' arrival times. I hope we see you again.

It always felt nice when, after a tiring day at work, or spending time at the beach I relaxed at the balcony with a view to the beach. Some nights the balcony was just splendid to watch the sky. An added plus for a first time visitor to Cape town is the Cloud down thrust from Muizenberg mountain. It is amazing!

Room Tip:Â Lower floors don't get a beach view. Does not really matter after your first day anyway.

We stayed at Bluebottle for a birthday party. Superbly organised and the hosts were magnificent. Would highly recommend for functions and the like. Everyone talks about the stairs but really unless you are legless, they are no trouble at all. The view across Cape Town at night and in the morning can't be beaten.
Forget Camps bay pretentiousness,a true flavour of local Cape Town.

No assistance with carrying cases up 130+ stairs. Rooms cold without heating. Guest above awake at 4:30am both mornings stomping about above me. Not dealt with when I complained. Rooms have no TV or Radio. Didn’t clean bathroom within my stay.
Owners very nice and a great breakfast served.

Hi Dorothy, It was one of your colleagues that slept in the room above yours. I am sorry you found the stairs so taxing and would certainly have helped you with your bags. We clean the rooms daily. I am glad you liked our breakfast. Kind regards, Andrew

This is a beautiful guesthouse, interesting and tastefully decorate large bedrooms and communal area. The views from the balcony are absolutely stunning (even in the rain!)
only downside was the 130+ steps up to it which was a bit of a killer with heavy bags. The breakfast was delicious and service charming.

Very nice guest house on a hill, yet easy to walk to restaurants and to the market. Rooms are nice, creatively decorated, with balconies and view. The guests are diverse travelers from around the world. Pleasant atmosphere. Drinks are available in fridge by honor system. Very nice breakfast. We had a very pleasant stay.
