Bella Ev is centrally located in Muizenberg and within walking distance to restaurants and the beach. The house overlooks a beautiful, historic park and you can park safely in front of the house at night. It's a great location for exploring the area with a short drive to Kalk Bay for more great restaurants and local shops. Cape of Good Hope and the national park are a great day-trip and easy, scenic drive. Our hosts were wonderful, friendly and helped with all our questions about the area. The room was large and comfortable with old world charm and access to the garden out back. We took the B&B option and had breakfast in the main house dining room each morning. Breakfasts were substantial and delicious and we enjoyed talking with the hosts each morning. I highly recommend Bella Ev for the hospitality, great location and value. I will definitely go back to stay on my next visit to the Western Cape!

Dear Friends in South Africa had recommended that I stay in this heritage guest house due to the warm hospitality and the close proximity to the famous white sand Muizenberg beach (Surfers Corner).
Having stayed here I can now say that I am so glad that I followed their recommendation!
Location: Perfect. Next to beach and across from a green belt. You can hear the waves at night (I stayed in the Napoleon room), I was woken up by gentle warm sunlight through one of the many windows, and it’s a 3 minute walk to the beach/all the quirky shops for a nice meal and buying beach gear.
Hospitality: Amazing. My room had an antique extra long bath - I had come in stressed and exhausted and the owner Kerime noticed and offered to draw me an Epsom salt bath; I took her up on the offer, and so glad I did!
Accommodation: Artistic and unique with personality. Evidently the guesthouse is a “Grand dame.” It has high ceilings, custom metal work, beautiful and unique furnishings and a feeling of coming “home.” This is for a traveler who appreciates good bones and gracious spaces - well loved but definitely not a modern aesthetic!
Sleep: I slept deeply and peacefully. The sound of the waves lulled me gently to sleep and I felt safe and cozy under a fresh and warm duvet in a comfortable king sized sleigh bed.
General vibe: Guests treated like a cross between family and royalty. I met really interesting international guests (German, Italian and Russian, to name a few) who were repeat guest over many years because they so enjoyed their previous stays.
Breakfast: An experience. Don’t miss the breakfast! Beautifully set table, different each day and lovely special dishes - all unique. The owner has roots from the Ottoman Empire and the only thing better than the Turkish coffee she shares with the guests are her amazing stories.
Last thoughts: After staying here and having an amazing experience, I can say this guesthouse is a place well cared for, with soul, where you feel cared for and special as a guest as well. The owner truly understands hospitality. I will definitely stay here again!

We always stay at the Bella Ev guesthouse in Muizenberg. It‘s a real „feel home away from home“ place for us. Lovely breakfast with fresh fruit and homemade sourdough bread and lovely egg soufflé…
Not a place for 1-nighters!
we appreciate the no-shoes-in the bedrooms policy… we do the same at home

I spent a lovely weekend at Bella Ev. Mrs. Sinclair is delightful and went out of her way to make my stay pleasant even facilitating my travel to Cape Point and to see the penguins with other guests. Breakfast is delicious. House is quirky and full of charm. Recommend staying here for a unique, unforgettable experience in Muisenberg.

I was in desperate need of a holiday, and Cape Town topped my list of places to go. The sea air and the beautiful mountain was just what I needed.
The moment I made my booking to stay at Bella Ev in Muizenberg, I knew this holiday was going to be unforgettable. I spoke to Mrs Sinclair, a warm, worldly woman with so much enthusiasm, I found it difficult to turn down her delightful invitation and description of her establishment.
When I arrived I was greeted with a breathtaking mountain view. Bella Ev is situated at the base of a mountain, and one is also lucky enough to have a view of the sea. Mrs Sinclair and her staff were wonderfully hospitable and helpful, taking a genuine interest in my trip and my stay in the city. It was an absolute pleasure to be greeted with such a hands-on owner! I was escorted to my bedroom, which was beautifully decorated, and I was delighted to find an en suite bathroom. I spent many luxurious nights soaking away my troubles in the spacious Victorian bathtub, before retiring to my king sized bed.
Every morning I enjoyed a delicious breakfast, specially prepared for me. Mrs Sinclair cooks very well, and often joined me for breakfast. We'd sit and chat about life, love and everything else! It was really great to interact with someone who showed so much interest in her guests. Her humour and anecdotes kept me laughing long after breakfast was over! I shall always carry her wise words and advice with me.
I love the sea, and in search of some serenity, I used to walk down to the beach everyday. It's only a 5-minute walk, and a great excuse to be outside in the sun. The fresh sea air truly is refreshing. I didn't have a car, but the train station was also just a walk away.
Restaurants are also very close to Bella Ev, and I ate out very often, but for an additional price per meal, Mrs Sinclair whipped up scrumptious dinners and/or lunches.
I also enjoyed mountain hikes, and many of the other guests staying at Bella Ev at the time, participated in various sports in the area, i.e. surfing, sailing, etc.
I spent a week at Bella Ev, enjoying the well-stocked library, stunning outside pool area, delicious meals and my luxurious room. But most of all, it was the warmth, hospitality and kindness of Mrs Sinclair and her staff that really made my stay completely blissful. Bella Ev has an old soul that makes her guests not want to leave. It's infused with the laughter and spirit of previous guests, and the memories of its owner.
Other guests staying there at the same time as me agreed that it was the best place they'd stayed in for a very long time, and made it a point to tell their friends, family members, and even complete strangers about Bella Ev!
The service I received was excellent. There was always someone willing to help and give me more information about whatever it was I was looking for.
I also feel like I made a friend for life. Mrs Sinclair and her kind spirit are very much like Bella Ev - worldy and full of life and love. We have kept in touch since I left, and her e mails always make me laugh, and to be honest, a little sad as well because I find myself longing for th comfort and security of Bella Ev. But my memories and pictures are enough to make me smile again, and remember how much I enjoyed my stay.
Affordable, beautiful, and full of spirit, Bella Ev is now my home away from home, and my ideal spot to relax, be pampered and completely unwind from the stresses of daily living.

Bella Ev was beyond my expectations. The beautiful villa, the interior decor, right down to the careful selection of dishes and cutlery. It was truly a charming experience.
The garden, a pleasant surprise with the beautiful mountain as a backdrop was the icing on the cake. I look forward to my next visit to Cape Town and Bella Ev.

Just a note to say that - as three "ladies of a certain age", bordering on the gloom which decends at the end of a wonderful holiday in SA - our experience at "Bella Ev" was wonderful. A beautiful house, well appointed for the coast and all important venues on the Cape Peninsular. The rooms were really comfortable and the ambiance perfect. We found the guest house by chance and immediately fell in love with the house and the wonderful lady who runs it. Never short of conversation or ideas! Breakfast was truly magnificent. My friends and I throughly recommend the Bella Ev 8 Camp Road Muizenberg Cape Town

We got back from a self-drive trip on route 62 and looped back on the Garden Route. It was the most memorable trip we ever experienced. Our flrst trip to Africa, although this would not be a good indicator of the Real African adventure, but it was a pleasant surprise to us. The superb road conditions, signage, toilets; the people are friendly and polite. We had the most unforgettable experience staying at the B&B's in South Afric., We chose the 3-star ones, and they turned out to be simply wonderful as most of them are personally run by the owner, who took the extra mile and gave us such warm welcome and detailed attention during our stay. One such place was in Swellendam, it was a gem that we discovered at Heerden Huijs B&B. Her garden and birdhouse greatly impressed us, besides her artistic presentation at breakfast time~! Another one was in Muizenberg. Bella Ev on Camp Road was also a great find. It is next to a historical building, and it is a unique house itself, the rooms are big and very well decorated with themes in each one, at such an affordable price. We wished we had more time to hear from the owner of her rich cultural background, and of the house itself. Make sure you get to hear her words of wisdom!!
