A good little place, though maybe not the best value, we stayed in the river bungalows for 3 nights. Highlights were the river view, comfy beds and great service at the restaurant. We were also helped in arranging bike rentals and with semi-prompt laundry service (as with most places in SEA, they hang dry so very weather dependent). Disappointments were...

I had only planned to stay 3 nights but the whole area was so nice and relaxing, I stayed an extra day. The hotel is right on the Mekong with a 2-minute walk from the boat pier. The room itself was a bit dark and fairly basic, but it had AC and a fan and it was cleaned every day....

Don Khone is supposedly the quieter end of Si Phan Don, but it was a good rest stop in between visits to Li Phi Falls and the famous Khone Phapheng Falls. Pans Guest House sits pretty close to the jetty and close to all the restaurants on this stretch. We had booked 2 double rooms, but ended up with an...

The owner is helpful and speaks good english but i would not recommend the restaurant there. I wrote a review to lao lang where we went the following meals....

We stayed in the bungalows overlooking the Mekong. If you're a sunset junkie, you HAVE to have a river view. It was the most stunning room view I had in 3 weeks travelling around Asia. The rooms are rustic but lovely. It has everything you need and they are spacious enough. We were at the end of a row of...

Not sure what is the difference between Bungalows, Residence and Guesthouse but I had a room upstairs with river view which was a perfect spot to chill in the hamac during the warm hours of the afternoon and with great view on the sunset over the Mekong river! Room was spacious and comfortable. Very peaceful place were I was supposed...

We booked into Pan’s Residence but when checking in, were told that it was full so were shifted to Pan’s Bungalow which worked out fine. Pan’s has 3 places (Bungalows, Residence, Guest House). It was a string of bungalows facing the Mekong each with their own large covered deck with 2 sling beach chairs & a hammock, a great place...

Lovely bungalow, with A/C, mosquito net, breakfast, and free water every day. The shower broke once, but they fixed it within minutes and very politely said it was our fault for turning the heat up too high! In hindsight we should have paid the extra few pounds for a river view - every bungalow has a deckchair and (strangely narrow) hammock...
