This Heritage Hotel is located in the Heritage town of Alsisar which was located on the Spice Route. There are many derelict palaces in the town which is very poor and very dirty. We had to walk through the town to the hotel from the coach. The food was ok but the service was very poor. On the night we... More

The building was beautiful and we had a stunning room - it spread the entire length of one side of the hotel, BUT the food was not brilliant (although the pasta cooked for me was very good) and we found the service to be perfunctory at best. I felt incredibly uncomfortable by the looks and actions of some of the... More

Had an overnight stay at Alsisar Mahal. It is an amazing 51 room Palace property built in the 1700's. Nice large suites, well appointed and has a quaint feel about it. The dining room is awesome with the painted ceilings and frescos. The rooftop restaurant is fantastic, food is great. What was the highlight was the desert safari and Shyam... More

This is a heritage hotel in what was once a palace on the spice route. Rooms vary greatly so ask for what you want, we had an enormous suite. Food was good, buffet dinner and breakfast. Drinks reasonably priced but the house red wine was a bit rough. Be careful ordering lunch we had toasted sandwiches which were great but... More

A very beautiful old 'heritage' hotel. Lovely big rooms - ours was a small suite but apparently there are plenty of even larger rooms. The rooftop restaurant is a delightful dinner venue, with live local musicians and good food mostly vegetarian with a couple of chicken dishes (we had a set menu, though we understand when there were more guests... If you're looking for five star upscale and one her percent modern facilities, skip this place. However for the area, it is that indeed. Recently renovated from a royal palace, one gets the feeling of truly being inside a palace. Some of the royal family still live here. The staff seem a little nervous and intimidated by visitors, but they... More

The place is Regal and as it's well maintained one gets to feel Royal. The staff is courteous but having Nepalese staff does take away from the Rajasthani feel. The rooms are spacious and well equipped... No TV or WiFi thankfully. There is a games room with Table Tennis table n carrom board, there is a pool table in another... More

I had heard a lot about this place from my brother and had always wanted to go. Finally went there with my family last long weekend. And believe me it was even better from what we had heard. The place is so royale with the right touch of modernization still keeping the vintage feel intact. Though absence of TV in... More

Reason for little lower rating is its service quality which I will elaborate in the later part of this review. This is a large property conveniently located for a long weekend trip. The property is very well preserved/ maintained. Frescos in dining room and reception area are well preserved and colourful. We need to understand that this property was not... More
