What a beautiful B&B! The location is amazing, very calm and you can breathe nature! Our room was very cosy with wooden furniture. Alec and Kathleen are the best hosts ever! We decided to have our evening meal here and we were very pleased. It was delicious!! As well as their breakfast! Homemade and with (very) local produce. They also offer a packed meal which is very useful when you spend the whole day outside exploring Skye. We totally recommend the Old Post Office. When you visit Skye, don't forget to support the locals and protect each other!! Thank you, Kathleen and Alec for your very warm welcome!

It has been some time since my father and i were welcomed by Kathleen and Alec.
Even years later, we still talk about out tour through Scotand and this one bed and breakfast we were lucky enough to find. We recently decided they were still owed a proper laudation.

Kathleen and Alec were generous and respectful, shared their time, effort and charme with us to add to our cold and beautiful holiday whenever they could. The food was excellent and homemade, drinks were shared when it was appropriate and professionalism and privacy still held up with a fully booked week. The beds were warm and clean and the sheets as cozy as the weather warranted them.

We missed them and the experience of being their guests quickly and a lot since then.

Sincerely, a thankful father and son

What a wonderful find! We wanted to find accommodation close to the ferry port and after 3 days of travelling we enjoyed a lovely relaxing night at the Old Post Office. We were made to feel very welcome by Alec and Kathleen. The B&B is very homely and the beds were very comfortable. We decided to have our evening meal at the B&B and we are so pleased we did. We could not have eaten better out. I had local salmon with vegetables freshly picked from the garden along with one of the best homemade cheesecakes I have eaten. We were equally impressed with the breakfast with homemade granola and natural yogurt. We fully recommend staying at the Old Post Office and we will stay there again when visiting the Isle of Skye.

Alec and Kathleen extended a warm welcome to two dripping wet and windswept motorcyclists. Warm and comfortable room and the food was top notch. All the breakfast condiments were home made and delicious

Just back from 2 nights at the old post office. Great base to explore the North and west of the island. Alex and Cathleen were fantastic hosts, breakfast was just wonderful sets you up for the rest of the day huge selection of local produce. We had evening meal both nights marvellous home cooking would recommend the curry but everything to eat was fantastic. Would definitely return.

Hosts both very welcoming and accommodating. Food excellent, generous portions and all home made. Room had all our needs catered for and excellent view from room windows.. Nothing was too much trouble to ensure we both enjoyed our stay. Hosts were knowledgeable on best sites to visit to maximise our time there.. I was fascinated and entertained by the bird feeder cage!! Thanks again, we will be back....

Went few times to Kathleen and Alec’s place. Never been so warm welcomed in my life. Kathleen cooks wonderful food. The breakfast is excellent.
I always had an excellent time speaking with Kathleen and Alec at night, drinking whisky.
If you go on Skye, you need to go to this place !

we were greeted by Kathleen and Alec who helped us in with luggage, very welcoming and assured everything met our needs. we had an evening meal in the premises which I can only describe as amazing and well worth the money.. ( if anything I'd pay more) we were able to purchase a few drinks from the b &b too which is handy. very comfortable, homely and relaxing place. also very lovely people. can't wait for my next visit.

Got a king room in this little place. Double bed plus single bed in a well furnished room with everything we needed. Lovely bathroom with shower. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfy. However very thin walls!
Breakfast was nice but served in our host’s living room. Hosts were a friendly and chatty couple. It was a bit awkward to be served by both of them and knowing we were in their living room by ourselves, only one dining room table. Beautifully laid out though and with a stove on, what more can one want! Well...we kind of felt we intruded in their lives!
Overall, they did their very best to welcome us in the friendliest and most helpful way. And technically nothing to find fault with as everything is done for the customer.
One small downside , a smoker’s home and the smell is very present.

Our stay here was one of the highlights of our trip. On arrival we were welcomed straight away by Alec and Kathleen. The room we stayed in was large and light, excellent value. We hadn't planned on eating our evening meal here but cancelled reservations elsewhere as were so tempted by the menu. And we were very glad we did! The food was delicious and all home grown and locally sourced. We were also presented with a yummy full Scottish breakfast the next morning - much needed after the drinks the night before! Thanks very much to the hosts - we would definitely come back and would highly recommend this place.
