From previous visits to Costa Rica I was aware that customer service it is not a strong skill here. Although, I was expecting a higher level of experience here at a recently added property to the Marriott portfolio. Once again it did not fail to disappoint. Upon arrival to the gate you wait until the gate guard decides to approach the vehicle. Ask for your name and gives instructions to lobby. Second long wait until given access to property. I was under the impression that I completed my check-in thorough the application as I always do. None of my requests nor check in was “received.” The long line for the check-in is absurd and Christian, Brian and another front desk man (his name starts with an S) were nothing but dismissive and unprofessional. These individuals informed me that the property it is not connected with Marriott Bomboy app and the two do not communicate at all. First time I have ever heard of this. Have been to Mexico, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and no issues using my benefit of mobile check in/check out. Property staff made it seem as I was the problem and even told me that I was the first customer to ever complaint or have that issue. We have only eaten at the buffet since everyone makes a big deal about finding an open table at the a la carte restaurants, food temperature is inaccurate, fish and meat cuts are cheap and very small, desserts are stale and of poor quality. Hard liquors “run out” and the options are cheap and overall not good. The mini bar inside the guest room is very limited. Again, comparing other all inclusive properties and brands this one falls very short. Bedding smell and it is not fresh. Beds are not too bad. Pillows are very small and have body odors. Toiletries are mediocre and not expect Ritz or JW quality. The golf cart transportation is a joke. We were placed on a building next to the laundry Faviola d one of the farthest from everything. You either walk these hills or wait for over 30 minutes for a cart to drive by. We noticed that many drivers get “friendly” with other guests and guests have shared that they text them when they need a transportation. Swimming pool are is nice, not the cleanest nor the largest for the guest capacity. We were told by the barman at the pool bar not to go to beach due to sea orchids and an alligator that roams around the property. We have yet to visit the beach and are not planning on it. Overall not a good experience, DR, PR, and Cancun continues to beat any country with All-Inclusive resort concept. Too far of a trip and waaay to expensive for what it is.…

Just Amazing.... I had an absolutely fabulous time at Planet Hollywood Hotel. This was my first time in Costa Rica and I definitely came to the right place. Restaurants... all the restaurant were wonderful and they were able to accommodate large groups of people 15+. I really enjoyed the Japanese restaurant and found myself going back on multiple occasions. Excellent black sand beach and pools if you are interested taking a dip the water. The hotel also has "PH Experience" which gave me access to paddling boarding and kayaking. YOGA...Another round of firsts. This was my very first time doing yoga. I would like to thank our incredible instructor Hillary!!! YOGI #1!!! P.S 2nd floor snack bar has the world's best ice cream

This vacation was one of the best, and it was because of Planet Hollywood Liberia, Costa Rica. We were star class guests and were treated like celebrities. It was my aunt's 66th birthday and the staff didn't disappoint. We ate at the Japanese restaurant our last night. Our hibachi chef and waiters (Ernesto, Jorge, and Javier) were fantastic. I am looking forward to visiting again.

Very clean resort with especially friendly and accommodating staff. Opted for Star Class and our personal agent Manuel was great. The Eco walk with Diana was an enjoyable hike through the local terrain and along the beach. Kayaking with Jason was a nice break from hanging by the pool. Morning yoga with Hillary was a relaxing way the start the day. HIIT classes with Erick and Jorge were challenging and fun. Recommend taking full advantage of the daily activities since the staff works hard to make them accessible to everyone

The equipment was in great shape and the instructors, especially Jorge, was very helpful! The gym also had plenty of water and towels to use during my workouts. Having a gym available while on vacation is always a good thing.

Big shoutout to Hillary the yoga instructor. Our group showed up at the rooftop every morning for a wonderful yoga class this past week, and it was the most energizing yet relaxing experience to set the tone for the rest of the day. I highly recommend waking up early to watch the sunrise, followed by a dip in the water or working at the well equipped gym and then checking out the yoga class, before heading to indulge in a delicious breakfast buffet. Thanks Hillary!!!

The Staff is amazing! People always smile and some goes beyond expectations. Food was great, the room was very comfortable, the Hotel is clean with beautiful views and the most important, very closed to the airport. I really enjoyed my stay!

The Teppanyaki hibachi show was amazing. Javier gave a great show with good conversation. Ernesto and Efrain kept the drinks coming. Not one complaint. Gusto had the best Italian food. My waiter Juan was so sweet and kind. You cannot miss the Premier Bar. Sharon has the best smile in the building and great drinks!!

Jorge, Erick and Hillary were phenomenal. They gave great energy and was very motivating. I highly recommend them! We had a small group which was very competitive. They gave out prizes towards the end of the competition.
