This place is cute, wilderness charm. The cabins are warm, kitchenettes nice. We wish we brought groceries, you have a stove and refrigerator. The charm is rustic and the owners are very nice. It's a good place to stop on a snowmobile trip to rest, located off an ORV path which takes you there.

Pretty typical of upper peninsula cabins. Nice to find dog friendly lodging. Two of us stayed in the Black Bear cabin. Sleeps 4 in two bunk beds. I'm 6'2" & most twins, doubles and bunks are too short for me. Not the case here. Plenty of room to stretch out on the bed without my toes or feet hanging over...

Our cabin had two sets of bunk beds, which was interesting for a couple old retired folks, one with a new knee and one with a bad hip! LOL But our cabin was a pleasant surprise. Not only did we have a total of four twin beds, but two long couches that looked like they were comfortable enough to sleep...

I stayed here with my family as a child 40 some years ago and it was a bit slimy and scary. Now it is very tidy, cozy, clean and comfy with a games lawn and friendly management. I returned with my extended family -- my kids and several brothers and sisters and their kids. It was a hoot n holler....

This is really a destination resort, but we only stopped overnight. If it would not have been for the mosquitoes (overabundant this year), it would have been an extremely pleasant stay. We let a couple dozen (at least) mosquitoes in when we brought in our luggage, and they made sure we remembered them. The cabin we stayed in (Whitetail) was...

We stayed here last winter for a 4 day snowmobile trip. This is a great area off the beaten path to go riding. Cabin was plenty warm and cozy and the satellite T.V. and wireless internet were a nice bonus. Furniture in the cabin was very comfortable also. The owners were very nice and helpful and have been working hard...

We stayed at Running Bear Resort for five nights and had the best time ever! The place is clean, cozy and well-kept. Its central location to many of the area’s great nature sites makes the resort the perfect base for people who like to do day trips but still want the luxury of a proper bed to sleep in and...

i stayed there as part of my UP round trip, the cabins are are kind of clustered together so the UP North cabin experience is gone, but it was clean and reasonably priced and nicely located right in the middle of the fishing and exploring that i wanted to do so, i would gladly stay there again

Arrived looked ok (cabins were pressure washed and not painted so looked non appealing). Arrived Friday was greeted for payment, Saturday no one around as we nor did any of the RV sites have picnic tables (as they advertised). Finally Saturday late afternoon found the owners and was told "we dont have tables for you's" I explained we had a...
