First of all the beachfront location of this accommodation is excellent and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately I was allocated they a tiny chamber without an own bathroom or a proper window or so. It also was not soundproof, which would have been important to me at least for the second half of my four night stay, because the adjacent bar/restaurant turned up the music to a maximum late into the nights. The noise is also the main reason not to stay here in the future, as I prefer quietness. And to be honest the hotel is a bit run down and needs to be renovated in my opinion. And it’s a clothing optional hotel, which allows you to get from your room to the beach in your birthday suit.

The Hotel Neptuno's only redeeming feature is its location - right on the beach with a pleasant restaurant/bar and seating area (with hammocks). Its rooms, however, are extremely basic and the sea-view one (with balcony and en-suite) is horrible! See-through windows with no curtains, 'private en-suite' little more than a partition dividing shower and toilet from the room. The shower hardly worked so I was forced to use the public one. No breakfasts available on site. Definitely not worth the money!

It’s a small hotel in front of the beach , small rooms but clean , staffs amazing always attentive , they can assist you with great recommendations to find delicious food ,activities ,and places around, also the hotel has an amazing view of the beach. At night the sound of the waves are so nice to hear as the town is really quite . Great place to relax !!!

Definitely going back to this place.

I love this AFFORDABLE hotel. Ok it’s not fancy and the place offers amazing access directly on the beach. The beach front facing has baconies and it’s true the bathroom is directly there on the third floor but spend 10 bucks more and you can have a king bed and all view of the ocean !!!!!
Now I got to give a shout out to Dan the amazing tireless manager. He called an art gallery and found my “ lost “ shipment and got it sent directly to the hotel. He also booked a tour and just did too many things effortlessly.

Let me start with two positive aspects: Attractive price and nice location on the beach. Other than that: unfriendly and arrogant staff (except for one staff member who showed at least a smile and brought „holá“ over his lips). The others including „management“ (whoever that was) just gave me strange looks whenever our ways crossed. I‘m not overly sensitive, so I just took that as a fact. It felt unpleasant, though, as I don’t remember showing any reason for this strange behavior. A broken balcony doorlock didn’t get repaired, though I asked for it 3 times. Simply 2 screws would have had to be fixed. Sink and toilet bowl didn’t get cleaned a single time during a whole week, though I asked for it. I would have done it myself, but there wasn’t even a toilet brush in the bathroom. I never felt so unwelcome in any place worldwide. Plus during the weekend hammering bass beats from Delfina Beach Club (belonging to Neptuno) at an incredibly high volume wouldn’t let you sleep before 4:30 in the morning. Thank god I found a way nicer place nearby for the rest of my stay, resulting in leaving this disgusting place 3 days early.

I had made an online reservation for the 3-10. When I showed up on the 3rd, they told me they had given the room I had reserved for someone else. They insisted I was wrong, even when I presented them with the reservation on my room. The room itself was dirtier than others here in Zipolite, and it was not like the photos. The "view" room only has a view from the bathroom. This means that you are in a fishbowl facing the busy beach while on the toilet. They didn't even have curtains. How disgusting!

I went to nearby Hotel Paraiso, where I got a real view room that was nicer for 1/3 the price. Posada San Cristobal has rooms much much nicer, for less money if this is your budget. Even during the high season, I was able to find a much better room easily. There are 100 hotels here, but only a few with online booking. Do not let this scare you into booking with the terrible Hotel Neptunlo!

Hotel is a basic hotel run by a family. Great location for beach and for walking to the town of Zipolite. I had a bit of trouble checking in but at the end everything worked out fine. Remember this place don't take credit card so you Must have cash with you to pay. Overall great low key hotel with a beautiful view of the ocean

Charged £80 for a room that I cancelled and never checked in to

Even after multiple requests and emails through booking.com and directly they still charged my card and didn't cancel my booking even though I cancelled it before my booked trip

Yes, you can have an awesome view of the ocean from your room. I thought it hilarious that the view was from the bathroom, while literally sitting on the toilet. The price was reasonable and the location great. We did notice that three large windows in the bathroom of the terrace were missing, so not totally safe and secure.
