We used the site as our base for the D-Day 75 anniversary this year. The home was adequate and clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. Nice little bar on site as well. Swimming pool was quiet mostly when we were there, but also lovely beach within a 30 second walk.
This site, in places, is very tight to manoeuvre round. We have a Bailey 464 (so quite small) but still found getting to the pitch we were allocated difficult as site roads are narrow. When we got to the pitch someone else was there. We went back to reception and were told 'They must have forgotten they were due to go home today.' We were also told they had no spare pitches! We were not the only people to find someone else on a pitch we were allocated that day. Eventually we were given another pitch and told we'd find it better for us. That definitely wasn't the case it was very small and on a sandy incline. Even with a motor mover we needed help to get onto the pitch as one wheel was just digging further and further into the sand. We only had room in the width of the pitch for our caravan and awning. We couldn't walk round the front of the awning as it was very near the hedge. The depth of the pitch was so short it could just about accommodate the length of the caravan + the width of our car. We were so disappointed in the pitch that I bothered to work out it was just under 60 sq m - nowhere near the 100 sq m advertised by the Caravan Club. We'd booked for 4 nights and when we left the people on the original pitch had still 'forgotten to go home'. We think that on noticing we have a small van they thought we could be put on a very small pitch. Also unfortunately for us we were next to static caravans, not among other tourers, the occupants of one of them decided to have a party until gone midnight one night. We appreciate that's a one-off, and if we'd been enjoying our pitch we probably wouldn't have remembered it, but that tainted our stay too. The plus side of this site is the direct access to a lovely sandy beach, with fabulous sunsets. Unfortunately they didn't compensate enough for an awful pitch. A great shame and disappointing end to our holiday when we'd already stayed on 2 other sites recommended by the Club (Le Domaine du Logis and De Trologot) which were both lovely.…
Location is brilliant the beach is right on your doorstop, pool is clean and perfect for both older and younger children as there a shallow small pool adjacent to the larger pool plenty of local restaurants onsite shop could do with alit more in it is it was minimal literally a few shelves staff are friendly and accommodating even though you could tell they weren’t 💯 on us Brits being there that cant be said for locals stores which are not quite as accommodating
Booked in here for three nights. Super view of the sea and beach. Very good small resteraunt on site with bar, heated pool and very clean loos and showers. the site is now looking tired and old and needs alot of t.l.c.
We used the camping mainly as a starting point for our discovery from the landingbeaches in Normandie, situated next to the sea with a nice beach for a lazy day, sanitary is good, cleaned twice a day , We had a good time during our stay there , friendly personel. We travel somewhere else everytime, but if we re going back to normandie we sure will pick this camping again, reasonable rates for a good camping
