Diego and his wife Ana are the owners of the Hotel, them and the staff make sure you fell at home, is a great place to have a family and friends quality of time, play some cards, have a good margarita, at night they build a fireplace and watch the stars, on the morning they take you around the best...

My husband and I stayed 2 nights with Diego and his family at this very friendly and clean lodge in beautiful canyon country. The party they host for the local children on the 25th Dec was so much fun. It is great to see how much this little lodge gives back to the community. Nothing fancy here - just good...

Perfect for me and my travelling mates. Rooms were well kept and clean (no TV in my room, but that was fine by me). Food was interesting and delicious and served by a very friendly staff. Lodge owner, Deago, Hugo and Martin were all wonderful tour guides.

When we visited in May, they seemed surprised to see American guest. There were several of us on a 4X4 driving trip and the hotel was accommodating enough to allow those in our party who wanted to camp on their property for a small fee. Those of us who preferred to enjoy the hotel's accommodations were not disappointed. The rooms...

Wish I had spent two nights here instead of in El Fuerte. Diego was a great host, the lodge itself was great, and the tours were wonderful. Definitely will come back and spend more time so that i can visit Urique and other spots.

First off, if you're a strict itinerary, rigid, tied to your iPhone traveler, this resort is not for you. If you're an adventure lover, then this is a great find! My father, friends and I stumbled upon this Lodge while touring the Copper Canyon on our dual-sport motorcycles. Tired and weary from the day's difficult riding, the Paraiso del Oso...

My husband and I had an extremely pleasant stay here. The host and son were very attentive and took us all around to see the sights. The accommodations are a bit primitive by US standards, but it was extremely clean. We wanted for nothing. Wonderful place. We enjoyed getting to know the local Indians and the community and festivities.

PROS: The service - from beginning to end was impeccable - I was travelling on a budget and the family really tried to accomodate my needs regardless - nothing was too much trouble Beautifully decorated lodge I stayed in the 'hostel' which was a steal at MS$150 a night. Especially since I had it to myself . Big comfortable beds...

We were sorry our travel agent only booked us here for one night! It is the kind of place we love to stay when we travel, comfortable, welcoming and a place to learn about the surroundings. We had a chance to see things and places that gave us insight about the Copper Canyon which will stay with us a long...

Through Doug and his love for the people and land, we truly got to experience this unique and special place. Doug is always helping out local Tarahumara families with medical procedures, schooling, clothing and much more. We visited homes and even were able to participate in Holy Week festivities. Doug is really making a difference here and we were very...
