My husband and I went to San Miguel de Allende for four nights over the Easter holiday. This is an extremely busy time in San Miguel yet full of life and energy. The Hotel Matilda was wonderful with a professional and courteous staff. Michelle and Chris were extremely accommodating. They helped with restaurant reservations, recommendations and directions. They also spoke...

Excellent food, excellent ambience. I love the bar on the 2nd floor where you can seat at the terrace or inside and have great time with friends. In my opinion the cocktails are not espectacular but are good enough to have a couple. The restaurant is great and the food is a warranty, anything you chose is going to be...

We had high expectations of Hotel Matilda, after hearing good things from people that had stayed there, as well as having dined in Enrique Olvera's other restaurant, Pujol, in Mexico City. We have stayed at similiar boutique hotels in Mexico and around the world and unfortunately the Matilda did not live up to our expectations. The main thing that disappointed...

Dear Monica: We’re so glad you discovered MÜI Bar on your recent visit. It’s one of the most popular spots in our hotel, for good reason. It’s a terrific place to socialize and people watch, in one of San Miguel’s most stylish settings. We hope you’ll return soon for another toast! With warm regards, Bruce James, Director

We had massages here & spa services. Only OK but expensive. It is a nice modern hotel but...Really not worth the price. I'd consider elsewhere, but have no suggestions for San Miguel. Certainly there are better places in San Miguel.

I had the best experience, and a difficult experience. I had two rooms. One (Room D-1) was large but there was a lot of noise by the pool, and construction on site, so really couldn't take a siesta. The other room (C-15) was smaller, but with a spectacular patio and view, and no noise. The Hotel is wonderful, great service,...
