My stay here was nothing short of perfect. In fact, it WAY exceeded my expectations. Sam, who is a world-class chef and owner of the property, is an incredible host. He goes out of his way to make sure that everyone...
My son stayed here for two weeks while visiting me and I came for the most amazing breakfast every day. I could never tire of the omelette Caprese with fresh ground beans coffee. The conversations with Sam and Sofia...
We stayed at Casa de la O in early March, 2020 and found it to be a welcoming and comfortable place to stay. We stayed for five nights. Our room was very large, well appointed and very quiet. The staff are...
I went back to Casa de la O, where I have stayed once or more each year since 2008! As always, lovely rooms with art in every room, wonderful breakfasts, and mid-afternoon lunches to die for. Our hostess with the...
This cozy and quiet Casa is located a block from the center of San Miguel. Perfect location, great prices, and charming colonial house. But the best of all is its people, from the owner to each and every one of the...
Our "room" was actually a small apartment which included everything but a refrigerator. Being located so close to the Jardin, cathedral and other prime sites was fantastic. All guest accommodations are on the 2nd...
The Brooklane was the most wonderful hotel experience we ever had! Perfectly situated in easy walking distance to everything. It is so beautiful, both the decor and the hotel design are just stunning. Modern but also luxurious and welcoming. Gorgeous rooftop lounge with heated dipping pool. Cocktail hour in the beautiful lobby in the evenings and the most amazing breakfasts in the morning on the rooftop lounge. Best atmosphere imaginable but Sebastian and Esteban who run the hotel are what really put it over the top -they ensure every aspect of this hotel experience is outstanding. I can not say enough good things about this place. I would never stay anywhere else in San Miguel and this place has spoiled us for all other hotels, nothing else could possibly compare!
My friends and I booked 3 of the Brooklane's rooms for a recent wedding weekend. We fell in love with the hotel and the owners! Gorgeous rooms and an amazing rooftop made our stay extra special. The three course breakfast on the roof each morning made our day start on the right foot! All of the breads are homemade and the coffee is amazing. Cocktail hour each afternoon was so fun and the drinks were delicious! I would recommend this hotel to every type of traveler!
The Brooklane is a masterpiece filled with natural and diverse architectural elements. The rooms evoke a modern, creative feeling. They are inviting, and oh, so clean and comfortable! The spiral staircase landing is a glass aquarium filled with koi - so cool. Estéban was very accomodating helping us learn the city and its attractions. He also scheduled a massage for us, which was amazing! The location is perfect. Quick walk to town. Super quiet street. Can't wait to stay again!
We had the pleasure of staying at the brand new B&B, The Brooklane, for 5 days. Superlative all around, especially with the unparalleled hospitality of Estéban. Location: perfectly central and within a 15 minute walk to everything. All the while, it was a sanctuary and protected from City sounds. Asthetics & comfort: beautifully stylish and sleek sensibilities, but comfortable and very functional. The attention to detail & craftsmanship was outstanding. The rooms had everything we needed and then some: luxury bath products, fluffy robes and a thoughtful welcoming birthday card with gifts of lip balm & homemade biscotti. The custom glassware, deluxe sheets & bedding, expert framing on the wall art - all added to the decor; and while techy (keyless entry & strong wifi) also ultra warm & colorful. Their dipping pool and roof top area was so inviting - we elected to lounge there over other activities on two of our days. We started calling our host "Estéban Stewart." The artistry of the breakfasts was exceptional (homemade brioche french toast! Homemade pita with sharshuka!); beautiful to look at and absolutely delicious. Thoughtfully, he asked what we preferred beverage-wise in advance of our trip, which he delivered each day, with accents such as homemade sugar-dipped lavender, fresh squeezed juices and ALL of the extra milk choices: oat, almond, coconut. Hospitality above and beyond: Estéban was a wealth of information about SMA. He would give restaurant tips down to what menu items he orders - which were always spot on. We had mentioned wanting to find some tomales at the market, and he got them for us the next day, and Monica, his lovely staff, warmed them up for us to enjoy by the pool. Also, we had wanted to lounge at the Rosewood one day and he ran over to get the passes for us early in the AM (as they tend to sell out). As we took off for the airport in the morning, he made us to-go boxes with the most delish croissant sandwich ever, along with other pastries (and bought coffee and tea to our room as we finished our packing). Staying at the Brooklane made our stay in stunning SMA that much more special. We lucked out weather-wise; received several sunny days when it promised rain the entire time. Estéban always checked in & had umbrellas for us by the door. I cannot recommend more highly. Overall rating 10/10!!…
If you want a personalized stay at a modern and super stylish bed and breakfast, The Brooklane is the place to be. When you stay here, you are surrounded by a modern Miami and Palm Springs vibe, but you know you are in San Miguel de Allende with all the traditional Mexican decor accents. The location is perfect, being just a few blocks (about a 5 min walk) to the center of town. When you walk to the hotel from the center of town, you take a beautiful stroll past outdoor eateries and beautiful shops. As you turn down the street towards the hotel, you actually walk down a magical walkway that takes a couple of turns before you reach the front door. You enter the hotel with your own personalized code given to you when you check in, as your privacy and security are of the utmost importance. The owners of the bed and breakfast, Esteban and Sebastian, are the most gracious hosts. My husband and I were catered to the entire time. If we need a ride somewhere, they took care of it, as they have connections to private drivers that will take you wherever you need to go. If you want an excursion somewhere, they will coordinate it for you. We enjoyed a wonderful day at a local vineyard coordinated by Esteban. We would never have known about the vineyard if they had not told us about it. As for the breakfast every morning, it was the most amazing food I've had in San Miguel, and that is hard to top as there are so many great places to eat. Marina, the executive chef (check her out on Instagram @spicechica) created the most tasty and wonderful dishes to start off our days. We enjoyed breakfast on the most beautiful roof deck. When you are up there, it's like you are in an oasis. There are beautiful plants, a cozy built in sofa under a pergola, and a dipping pool. The rooms at The Brooklane are very large, super comfortable, and the decor is to die for! Unusual for San Miguel, every room has air conditioning! You also have a tv with Netflix which is perfect when you want to take a siesta and then catch a favorite show. Every detail of the rooms is perfect, right down to the filtered water that is always available. If you're looking for a unique experience, you need to stay at the Brooklane. It's beautiful, comfortable, stylish, unique, and has the best breakfast around. You also don't need to worry about getting around or figuring out where to eat or what to do. Esteban and Sebastian will make dinner reservations and coordinate activities if you'd like. They are a valuable information source as they know the city better than anyone. You will be very well taken care of!…
