This is our 3rd winter stay and love it! The beach is across the street and so far not developed although there is one new high rise being built sadly. The RV park is usually full for the winter season and it is a great community of folks. There are also casita's in the back and it does get busy and noisy on holiday weekends so there can be loud music and conversation. There is another review on here from a guy who is complaining and we say it all unfold; he provoked the situation by taking his car and blocking in the noisy folks and then confronted them. Of course, one thing led to another.

Stayed a couple nights in the park, on our way home. Very nice park and great staff. We were there the whole day Tuesday. The hot tub, was open Monday, Wednesday, Friday ???? - lol. The water pressure is very low and I noticed, the long term people - some had their own water/pressure tanks. Overall nice park, would stop there again.

Great RV park with a cobblestone street with gravel lots. A cement patio pad in each spot ( some in better shape than others ) but no picnic table. There are plenty of trees and blooming bushes and cacti. The facilities are clean as are the motel rooms surrounding the property. These rooms are as shown on the website. The wifi works as well as any RV park, better during some parts of the day, worse during others. Jose who runs the place is always helpful and friendly. The location is great as there are many restaurants and shops within walking distance. And of course, the beach across the street! Great place. We stayed 3 months in a 40 ft motorhome.

Years ago I stayed there and it was fine
But now I was completely disappointed, when I entered the room I had a smell of dirty the air makes a lot of noise the pool is in bad shape seems that this dirty because of the poorly painted refund of the deposit almost a week return it !! The manager told me (we are not soothsayers to know that they do not read the regulations and was upset because I asked for my deposit)
I do not recommend it personally
VERY BAD EXPERIENCE if you have the opportunity to stay there MISS IT!!!!

Greedy owner charges extra on debit card...just because. Terrible exchange rate. Staff is friendly but unresponsive. Park is loud not just because of the party places around but also the weekend guests are insanely loud til the morning. Management doesn't do anything about it. Money talks. "If you don't like it leave" Lawn mowing at 6:30... Driers don't work at the laundry room but still charges for the service. Water pressure is low and sometimes no water at all. Pool is unusable during the "colder months" owner is too cheap to heat it. If we had any problems that actually the park caused management turned it's back on us. No refunds!

Increadabe access to the water, food and enjoyment. Always is clean and friendly atmosphere. Brought my parents a few years ago and they had a great stay due to the location and they are in their 80’s. Would recommend to rv’s or campers, Joes crew is great, Safe and secure. The 15 years we have been staying there we will stay no where else!!!!

We stay at Totonaka every winter and look forward to going back. This is a family owned business that has been operating for many years. Joseph is a US college educated individual who is focused on providing a quality experience. He is accessable and helpful to his guests. The grounds are always well maintained and spotlessly clean. There are good restaurants and shopping within easy walking distance. Access to the shore is directly across the street. Electric and water service is as good as can be expected in Mexico and there is wifi available. The park is dog friendly but please exercise common courtesy in leashing and picking up after pets. They will often have free spanish and cooking lessons available as well as tours into neighboring Guaymas. There is bus service from across the street.
There is a disco across the road that caters to the local people and it does get loud on weekend nights. It is only open on Friday and Saturday. If you plan to stay for any length of time it is certainly not sufficient reason to avoid a really nice place.
Most of all, remember this is Mexico not Canada or the US. RELAX and enjoy !

This park is within 5 minutes drive of anywhere in San Carlos. Night security. Pool. Small lounge. Free wifi. The wifi is pretty good now since lots of us complained for a long time. It was finally upgraded. Laundry facilities are so-so. Grounds are well kept. We come here in fall and spring usually, but this year stayed the entire winter. There is another rv park next door, but it appears to be pretty seedy. It's usually quiet except on Friday and Saturday nights. You can hear the music from a club down the street a couple of blocks. Nice setting. Take your dog for a walk on the bay which is right across the street from the park. Lots of restaurants within walking distance.

There only one RV park off Highway 15D from Nogales to Mazatlan in Mexico. It is the Totonaka in Carlos, Sonora. Even without competition it is a very good one comparable to any we've stayed at in the USA. We give it at least Four Stars and maybe a little bit more. Teh location is the best for ocean living near excellent beaches, and dining cuisine, shopping and water sports. The sites are spacious and quiet. The pool and hot tube are clean and well chemmed. The bathrooms/showers are clean and sanitized even though the plumbing should be updated. And water pressures and water volume are low. There is plenty of hot water including the inexpensive laundry room.
The price is very good especially for those working on a tight budget.

Great park with great service and amenities. Enjoyed the friendly staff very much. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. Also bus stop in front of the park in case tired of walking. Enjoyed the beautiful landscape of the park. Will definitely head back for longer next time!!
