Don't bother if you want a quite break. Wonky TV set hanging on the wall, loose toilet seat , bare minimum of furniture, really basic.. but nowhere in the description will they tell you that you'll be situated above a NOISY BAR with young yocals who've just discovered beer.

Greetings and thank you for your review . Taking one point at a time , "wonky TV set" - don't quite understand this as the TV is firmly attached to wall on a bracket angled to the bed! Loose lavatory seat apologies for this . Bare minimum of furniture - yes the rooms are quite minimalist but when all is...

We stayed on a Saturday night as we had been visiting the nearby Cotswold Distillery with friends. Parking and booking in was simple and quick and we all settled in front of a cozy log fire to enjoy some local beer and a warm meal. Then the village suffered a several hour blackout... Candles were lit, the fire was kept...

What a lovely country pub. Shame some of the service let it down. This place should be a hidden treasure. When we arrived we asked for details of local taxi firm - the barmaid looked at us like we had two heads - when she finally gave us a number they had no idea where we were. Eventually a lady...

Dear Iknowtand T Thank you for your review . I am very sorry that we did not meet your expectations . Regarding the Taxi - I am sorry that our young Barmaid wasn't able to help you immediately - taxis are in fairness a bit few and far between in Brailes . I am not sure why there was confusion...

Easy to find with 1st class hospitality, big bedroom with modern 4 poster bed (could do with some curtains for authenticity), slept well despite the old church bells going off regularly throughout the night. Deep bath which was marvelous. Best steak I've had in years and a huge cooked breakfast. All in all an excellent stay and I would definitely...

Good food, good beer, and a truly friendly atmosphere. The two dinners we had in the pub were excellent, as were the two breakfasts. We were welcomed, looked after in a friendly and thoughtful manner, right down to being driven us to the Cotswold distillery we were visiting a couple of miles away to save us driving. The four of...

The George has the quirkiness that comes with being an historical Grade II listed rural coaching inn, parts of the building dating from 1350. Very friendly. Good food, nice grounds. Well kept real ale (Hook Norton). Enjoyable stay.

Easy to find, car parking at rear, food in pub is very good value though not a lot of seating in main pub area if dining, room is comfortable with newly refurbished shower room in the room where I stayed, toiletries, good towels and bed linen, basic tea and coffee making facilities in room and a tv. So all in...

Really enjoyed my one night stay at the George. Welcome was really friendly, room was good (4 poster bed v. comfortable), beer spot on (and great beer garden to drink it in) and food really well cooked and tasty - scallops on boudin noir followed by a cracking chilli. Wines were also good value and I enjoyed a lively music...
