The Gables of PEI - Wonderful resort. Clean, grounds very well maintained. Very peaceful surroundings, staff was great helpful with all questions. Overall, a fantastic place to stay. Will definitely plan another return.
Recently came to this location for one night stay. Check in was easy and friendly by the staff. Ammenities are great as its located near Cavendish, the cottages are fully equipped with everything you need. Our Air conditionner wasnt working, but with the fast and effective employee services, maintenance brought a portable AC which worked fantastic. The only disadvantage, was that all the beds are single use, and they were not too comfortable. I would come back for a single night no problem.
My partner and I spent the weekend in a Deluxe King Villa with outdoor hot tub and it was absolutely AMAZING! Everything exceeded our expectations. From the cleanliness, to the atmosphere, we couldn't have asked for a better time. I would definitely recommend The Gables of PEI to anyone who who is looking for a relaxing and beautiful place to stay.
We arrived Friday evening for a weekend stay. The pictures on the website are deceiving. The property outside was not well kept at all. It looked as if the grass hadn’t been cut in weeks. The walk way was supposed to be lite at night but only 1 solar post marker actually worked. Upon entry to our villa it smelled almost musty smell and right away could see footprints on the living room floor. While we looked around we noticed that the villa wasn’t cleaned well at all. There were multiple hairs in every sink. The bathtub has a greasy film on it. We found a dead fly on the window ledge when we opened the blind. The coffee table had not need cleaned there was still leftover whatever the previous guests had on there. The grout lines were almost black and are supposed to be a light color. The bathroom door had something spilled on it and was never cleaned. Some sort of crusted stain on the chair in the living room. On the deck outside leading up to the hot tub was also not well maintained it was in desperate need of a good cleaning. We paid to upgrade to a king bed which ended up being two twin beds pushed together you could visibly see & feel the “crack” between the two mattresses. Very dissatisfied with our over all experience, I would not recommend this place to anyone.…
We went as a foursome of friends for a golf weekend, and the Gables was perfect. 4 twin beds, 2 bathrooms, in-floor heating, a perfect sized kitchen, comfy couch. It was spotlessly clean, the beds were comfy, and amenities all in fine order. Convenient to the golf courses, efficient check in/out. The only down side - arriving at dusk it was darned near impossible to see the villa number signs in the dark to know where ours was...they would benefit to have lighting or reflective numbers.
Our king villa at The Gables was spacious, well equipped and immaculately clean! We had a great weekend getaway, and were pleased to have everything we needed on site to be able to prepare our own meals. The staff was very accommodating and helped us arrange a play pen for our infant son. We loved exploring the grounds and thoroughly enjoyed unwinding in the hot tub. We'll be back for sure!
Went there with 3 pals for a week of golf. Arrived on a Sunday and checked out the following Friday. Got there at 7:30pm and check in was seamless and efficient. Had we been there after 8pm when the office would have been closed they would have left the keys and info on the BBQ of our bungalow. The bungalow was very new looking. Had a full kitchen with all the pots, pans, utensils, dishwasher, dish cloths, tea towels, paper towels, etc needed to make all our own meals. A new Broil King BBQ was on the covered patio with the patio table and chairs and a very new looking hot tub that worked perfectly. There were two bedrooms and each bedroom had a full bathroom. Towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, dish soap, dishwasher pucks, etc. Basically aside from going out for groceries and loading up the fridge with beer we wanted for nothing. I have nothing but positives to say about the place and would recommend it to anyone. As a side note we got 2+ pound pre cooked lobsters at Doiron in North Rustico that were unbelievably good (10 minutes belly up in the oven at 350 and they were better than perfect). We also got mussels and scallops from there and absolutely amazing rib eye steaks from Butcher and Butcher. PEI is a fabulous place with wonderful helpful and polite people. Canada should be proud to have such a wonderful place to go and I recommend that you do if you've never been there.…
We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath and it had everything we needed. Very spacious and well stocked for cooking. Nice BBQ on the deck with lots of patio furniture. We walked to Stanley Bridge (about 25 minutes), for dining. There is nothing onsite or really close by. The only downside is the pool area. It is a bit of a walk or drive from the cottages and not a really big area. The towels were not replenished and there were not enough chairs for everyone. The pool itself was fine. The staff were friendly and helpful!
This is a beautiful and clean place to stay with plenty of space inside and outside !!! We were able to buy groceries and make our own meals, but it’s close to lots of good restaurants too! It’s very private, but close to popular amenities! It has a hot tub & pool nearby. The beds were a little hard, but not awful. Our stay was great! Our only complaint is there is not a daily maid service (no beds made, things freshened up, etc.) and for the price of our executive suite we felt that should be included. As well, we ran out of toilet paper on our last night! We had lots of extra towels though, but limited TP! Haha! We would stay again for sure!!!
Peace and quiet outside of the madness of Cavendish Easily accessible for the grandparents and equipped with most essentials Very clean Comfortable king bed Great saltwater pool as an alternative to the beach Enough room so that people are not on top of each other safe protected area
