From the moment we arrived to when we left, the service, atmosphere and facilities were nothing short of amazing. Everything was above and beyond and I couldn't be more impressed. The staff was attentive, and the service was consistently on point. We stayed in a...More
I just checked out of Chileno Bay Resort with my fiance and have to say from beginning to end this was one of the most extraordinary stays we've ever had anywhere. Besides the resort being 'new' (almost a year old) and elegant and stunning aesthetically...More

I would say the construction will go on for sometime yet but it didn't impact us at all. Our room was on the left of the reception area towards the construction but not at the back. There are two restaurants, both great, but plenty within a short drive. This is one of the best places we've stayed - great service and beautiful surroundings. We're booked to go back in March.

There are two marinas. One in Cabo San Lucas and the other in San Jose del Cabo. The Chileno Bay Resort is on the 'corridor' or the road between the two towns. Google Earth is your best bet to get an idea of how things lay out. When we stayed at Chileno they had a free shuttle to The Esperanza Resort which is closer to Cabo San Lucas but not all the way there. Esperanza is very upscale and has two very good restaurants. In the town of Cabo you have a ton of bar/clubs, lots of restaurants, touristy shopping and the Medano Beach area which is a stretch of beach with a lot of bars/clubs/vendors and also ocean sports rentals. Chileno Beach also has this stuff but it's a much quieter scene. Medano is the crazy spring break style set up. San Jose Del Cabo has a large Marina, a strip of large hotel/resorts and the town itself is small, with a few restaurants, bars and some shops.
