El Encanto All Inclusive Resort at Hacienda Encantada garners high praise for its comprehensive amenities, including all-inclusive packages and numerous pools and dining options, although occasional service delays are noted. The spacious, Mexican-styled rooms are celebrated for their comfort, despite some maintenance and noise issues. Guests appreciate the resort's welcoming atmosphere and meticulous cleanliness.
While the value proposition is questioned by some due to high prices and timeshare pitches, others find the all-inclusive offering satisfactory. The hotel's location earns accolades for its scenic views and proximity to the marina, and the service is frequently lauded for its exceptional attentiveness.

Detailed Reviews
It is beautifully perched along the cliffs overlooking the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean. The grounds were perfectly manicured The rooms, bathrooms, balconies are good size. coffee pot and a mini fridge stocked daily with water, pop and beers. The food was EXCELLENT at every restaurant and at every meal the drinks were perfect at the restaurant bars, but some were inconsistent at the pools. The service was very good as far as being very friendly, happy, , it took 2 – 2.5 hrs. for dinner. Which was OK we had a great time! I’mjust noting it. It was really a good thing because the only entertainment was a guy playing the piano in one restaurant and a guy on the sax in another time with the family, There was nothing else to do. The other great advantage is the free R/T shuttle to the sister resort “the Fiesta” in the marina “golden zone” which allows you to go there to use their amenities, pool, towels and walk to a beach.I highly recommend the all-inclusive “dinning package“ which gives you several restaurants in golden zone area for more dining options. Plus, the food is very expensive so it’s a great deal to pay upfront. The only big complaint is, even with the “dinning package” you having to sign checks every hour for food and drinks, it’s a hassle, I go “all-inclusive” for the easiness of it. I don’t want to think or see. Needs more evening entertainment in general. Favorite pool bar tender was Miguel Zunigo (patio pool) Thank you Miguel he made our vacation special

My husband and I just got back from our honeymoon at El Encanto at Hacienda Encantada. We did the all-inclusive option and stayed in Phase II Building. What a great experience!
The best server at El Patio Bar and Restaurant is Neri! Neri took care of us each day that we were there and made sure we had all the food and drinks we needed. He is a kind person and a very hard worker. We loved him and would seek him out to take our order above all other servers. The chicken and shrimp quesadillas are excellent and we ordered them multiple times. I also recommend the rainbow roll and the tuna sashimi from the sushi place by the pool as well. Very excellent food overall!
We very much enjoyed our dinner at La Trajinera. Enrique was an amazing server and went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was special. It was very relaxing and there was also a great piano player who played soft music throughout our dinner. My husband's steak was excellent!! Enrique was able to give us some recommendations on what to eat and brought us dessert that he recommended as well. His level of service was exceptional and we really appreciated him.
One nice perk about the all-inclusive plan is that there are 4 off-property restaurants at the Marina that you can eat at with your meal plan. They also offer a complimentary shuttle that takes you to the Marina/downtown area every couple hours. There is a sister resort there where they drop you off. We ate at Los Deseos and enjoyed our meal very much. Moises was our server and he did a great job taking care of us. I recommend ordering the fresh guacamole which is made right in front of you at the table and the tres queso con tequila appetizer which is also made fresh right in front of you. For my main meal, I ordered Shrimp Diabla and it was incredible.
We also got the opportunity to try the sports bar and grill at the Marina called "Golden Legends." We had the boneless wings and they were delicious. Rosorio took care of us and provided excellent service.
The only thing I think could be improved at this resort is the service at the La Pergola pool. A lot of times we would wait for a long time before even being able to get the attention of a server to order food and/or drinks and sometimes when the food came, it had either been forgotten and was sitting out or the food order would come out incorrectly. I'm not sure if they were going through staffing changes, but we did not frequent this area as often as others.
Breakfast at Las Marias was amazing and we enjoyed being able to have coffee, bloody mary's (which are the best we've ever had, by the way!) and enjoy our breakfast while watching whales swim in the ocean in front of us.
Overall, I would recommend this resort for anyone wanting a relaxing vacation! We enjoyed water aerobics and rifle shooting with Carlos who is the new activities director. Hopefully they will add some more nighttime activities for people to enjoy after dinner.
It's a beautiful resort, go!

Activities, if you want them. Relaxing if you don't. Stunning views. End of February-early March the whales are very active. Very clean, staff is very attentive but front desk help(via room phone) is non-existant. Better to go in person. We never felt the need to leave the property - but we've been to the Cabo area many times before. I would go again :)

3 women in our late 20s/early 30s stayed here. We recommend staying elsewhere. At the Eden restaurant we got a second round of nachos that was served as an app to every table. When we barely touched the second round of nachos, they returned the nacho plate to sere to other to other guests, so unsanitary we were disgusted! Some guests of the resort are part of the all inclusive plan, others are not. The good customer service seems to be tended towards the guests paying a la carte versus all inclusive. We checked into our room and walk in and someone else is staying in the room they gave us, thankfully we got an upgraded room, but it was originally suppose to be 2 queen beds and turned into someone having to stay on a pull out couch. There is no nightlife whatsoever. Everything closes by 10pm. You constantly have to sign receipts every time you just want a cocktail or bottled water and at every meal. If you’re at the swim up bar, they have to close the tab every hour for “control” purposes. The resort is very hilly, but they do have golf carts that can take you around. The sister resort shuttle only runs every 2 hours and really should be every hour. Sister resort is approx. a 20 min drive away. There is no beach to lay out on at Hacienda Encantada, but at the sister resort (Marina Fiesta) you have to walk to the beach about a 5 min walk, but make sure to stay with a group as you have to walk down some sketchy streets to get there. Also, the beach requires an entry fee of you having to continue to order drinks in order to stay on any of the beach clubs. Certain restaurants are closed on certain days, when really they should be open everyday.

Pretty view but VERY limited beach access especially if you have children. The pool with the view is adults only and on the beach. The pool for kids has no view. Pretty much feels like people with kids are ostracized. Room sheets were never changed and a drink was spilled on them. Our towels were taken out of our room and we had to call to get more. Pool towels were non existent. Food takes forever. Drinks are ok. They make you sign a receipt for every meal and are crazy about your room number. Front desk is not friendly. Our room was barely swept and the cleaning lady made a point to tell us it was her day off so we would tip her (which we don’t mind but it was also slightly rude for the crappy job she was doing). Shuttle only runs every two hours. The grounds are pretty. There are so many better resorts in Cabo. Stay elsewhere.

I probably won’t be back. My room didn’t have a coffee machine and when I called for one they said they would bring it but it never arrived. There was also a pack of cigarettes on top of my mini fridge. They also don’t accept cash which I found kind of odd but luckily I had my card. Also a friend of mine had a few things in her room that were broken and our adjoining door had a gap in it so it didn’t block out a lot of the noise. The staff was very friendly though. They were all nice and courteous except for maybe one concierge who said if we didn’t make reservations for something “it’s not my problem” I thought that was kind of rude.

I had so much fun at the El Encanto resort. Make sure to get the all inclusive package for best deals in food and drinks. Even though the resort of far from the main tourist places, there was always something to do. They also offered shuttles to the Arch. Make sure to read through the paper work when you check in, there are charges for room services and housekeeping. They also have activities such as volleyball, biking, water aerobics, etc. Carlos and Alex made the activities fun and exciting. Gin make the best drinks at the bar near to the lobby. Over all I enjoyed the time at the resort. Everyone was so nice and the servers was good.

I prepaid my booking with hotels.com. when i approved, Blanca at the front desk gave us our all inclusive wrist bands, confirmed we were all paid up and we were on our way. later that evening while we were having dinner, Blanca called us to the restaurant and told us we needed to go back to the front desk immediately. she said we needed to pay for all inclusive, and if we did not, we would be charged an enormous amount (her words) for all food and drinks as we would be charged individually for everything without the “all inclusive.” I go back and show her my receipt from hotels.com, clearly stating i paid for all inclusive. she insisted i needed to pay extra fees for each person for all inclusive. knowing i had already paid for all inclusive, and having just seen the quality of food at the restaurant, i told her fine, we’ll elect to individually pay per meal (and i would later deal with this directly with hotels.com), she then changed the story. she said we would NOT be allowed to stay at the hotel without the all inclusive fee. Just earlier she had stated that we only paid for the rent of the room, and all inclusive was option but “better.” Once she heard we were okay without it, she made it mandatory. we were already there, so we decided to pay and deal with hotels.com after our vacation.
During our stay, we probably ate a total of 4 meals in 2 nights. The restaurants and bars always seemed to be closed. There was one day that we went to a restaurant and it was closed, so they took us in a golf cart to the next one, and it was also closed ! (this was at 1pm so not odd hours.) At this point, we told them to take us to ANY restaurant that was open as we hadn’t ate that day, and they drove us to 3 different restaurants in the resort, and later told us we were in between dinner and breakfast so we needed to wait until 5pm. the all inclusive was NOT worth it at all! restaurants are always closed for the most part. terrible resort and management doesn’t care

My partner and I came from April 9-14th to celebrate my birthday. We booked the hotel + flight package on their website as it had the best deals and prices for us. We booked the Encanto Luxury Suite since we wanted the plunge pool on our balcony.
Before our arrival, I received an email from their concierge, Rene, offering any assistance they could provide. Since I checked out these reviews, I saw we had to make reservations for some restaurants even though we had all inclusive. I asked if he would be able to help with that and he was able to help at some extent since the restaurants the Marina needed to be made once we checked in. We were also able to book a shuttle to the resort from the airport, which was awesome.
Getting to the resort, we had an awesome driver who kept our shuttle stacked with beers and tequila on the way there. Once we got to the resort, we were offered margaritas, beer and so much food, snacks and dessert! We got escorted to our room via a golf cart with our luggage, since this resort is HUGE! It literally seems like you’re in a little town. We found out they even upgraded our room to an 8 person suite! So freakin awesome!
Now getting to the pros and cons of this place:
Pros:
friendly and amazing staff!
delicious food and drinks
clean and safe resort
beautiful views
Golf carts are driven around if you need a ride around the resort
Amazing Adults only pool!
comfortable bedding
so many amenities!
Cons:
service can be slow at times
Barolo had awesome staff but the food was terrible
Shuttle to sister resort only runs every 2 hours
Hours on website/pamphlet sometimes doesn’t match actual hours
Plunge Pool in room isn’t heated so it was barely in use (it was a bit cold and windy during majority of our stay)
Some tips:
Take small bills in cash for tips though the front desk also has change
Try the chilaquiles at the breakfast buffet at Las Maria’s!
Special shoutout to our server Roberto at the pool! We’re definitely going to be back this year because we had such an amazing time!

Our stay here was enjoyable thanks to the staff. While food and drink service could take a while at certain restaurants and pools, the staff was always friendly and eager to please, always smiling and helpful.
A few staff stood out: Jose at the concierge desk, Isabel at Il Forno, Samuel at Mestizo went above and beyond. Kristina in the lobby was friendly and efficient.
Rooms were large and comfortable, although noisy due to A/C and jacuzzi motors (the one above us was on 24/7 so there was never a quiet moment).
The ocean views from almost everywhere were dramatic and pleasant. The architecture was a nice modern take on the traditional hacienda style.
One thing we missed was shade. There were umbrellas by the pool, and a few palapa beds near one of the pools, but the oppressive heat requires something more effective than an umbrella. All the walkways were in full sun all day.
We also got really sick of being hit up repeatedly to attend a sales presentation for their timeshares.
We also frequently felt nickel-and-dimed. We had paid for the all inclusive, but not the *premium* all inclusive, which meant we were slightly limited in restaurants where we could eat and food/drinks we could order.
Every time you order food or drinks, you need to sign a receipt, which is another chance to tip, despite tips were supposedly already included. Do you tip on service? Or as a percentage of the ridiculously inflated prices ($4 for 330ml water)?
Note that you cannot swim in the ocean here, you need to take a taxi or Uber to a nearby beach. The resort actively discourages Uber in favor of private taxis that charge 2-3x more.
There is a free shuttle to/from the sister resort on the marina in Cabo San Lucas so you can spend a day or evening there and even take advantage of the all inclusive restaurants there, although the choices are Baja Lobster Co and Legends Sports Bar and 2 more.
It was a pleasant enough stay, although we probably wouldn't come back.

There is a water aerobics class in Pool 1 around noon. There really isn't dancing or a dj.
Open table handles a lot of SJC restaurants like Flora Farms. You will definitely want to go to Lupitas, Mi Casa and Il Dolce all close to the hotel. Jazmins is excellent for breakfast as is the bakery half a block on the left from the hotel
