Second time at the resort, food was good with exception of buffet night. Service at Solmar is the best I've experienced in Cabo. So friendly and accommodating! Big disappointment that Lovers Beach is washed away. We were looking forward to it as an option being on that side of the city.

Two night stay to our first time in Cabo San Lucas. Being from Phoenix, we have many friends that go quite often, so we had an idea of which side we should go to - the Pacific (more quiet and reserved with not a lot of people and parties) or the Sea of Cortez side (FULL of bikinis, drinking, parties...

We got the all inclusive package, Room, F&B and Airfare. Expect them to change your air flights a couple times before your vacation, not always more convenient. Hotel is a plain Jane, and you can use another resort down the beach for pool access, much better than Solmar, but if you got the all inclusive you will pay additional. Next...

The resort is older and not as luxurious as the Grande Solmar next door but that is what makes it special, unique. The staff go over and above what can and should be expected of hotel staff. The location is perfect - literally 500 metres from the marina but you feel like you are in a private resort, isolated from...

I really, really love Solmar. It is one of the last quaint and down to earth resorts left in Cabo. I just returned from a 5 night, all inclusive stay. The staff is unmatched. Nefi, Wilfrido, Javier, Vanessa, Salvador, Gerardo (and many more) - they make guests feel so welcome. I miss them already! The breakfast is absolutely delicious -...

This is a great resort with 100% friendly & helpful staff. Virtually all units face into the central pool area "bowl", most with at least partial ocean views. An easy 10 minute walk and you're in Cabo's marina (think restaurant) district. The only drawback here is that the 1 restaurant and 1 short order bar aren't enough to make all-inclusive...

This resort is nestled in the side of a mountain, and right on the beach of the Pacific Ocean. 5-10 minute walk to the boardwalk. The staff of the resort are friendly and very helpful. The room was spacious, with spectacular views of the Ocean. Poolside bar and swim up bar, good restaurants. We will definitely come back

Solmar offers a small personal experience amidst a "sea" of large, overwhelming resorts. Everyone and everything at this resort was great! Location, rooms, staff, food Wonderful experience at the Spa. Gloria was very welcoming and Inez and Maritza gave excellent 80 min. massages. Well worth the cost. Nefi always served us with a friendly smile as did all the servers...

Tore down the OLD solmar, which was 2 stories high& futuristic looking resort to build Grand Solmar ( a charmless looking place). All that is left is a timeshare Solmar that is nice, but sometimes progress is not good. Location however is excellent

Just returned and pleased to see they are again taking care of owners. I enjoyed my visit and almost back to the old times. I know they need to grow but since I have been going since 1989 lots of changes mostly good but do not like being treated as a "short timer". I brought friends and did not expect...

“Sometimes there is a 'little' problem with the hot water but who cares it sorts itself eventually and in that climate it's not an issue. It's an older resort so the rooms are probably more spacious than the newer ones. If you're happy to basic and love looking out to the beach this is the place to be. ”
